Pastor Willie J. Bamberg II started working in ministry from an early age. There was an anointing on his life and when he learned that he had a calling on his life he demonstrated great zeal and devotion to serving God. He accepted the call to ministry and preached his first message at the age of 17. After graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served honorably for 12 years where he learned and executed leadership earning him many distinguished awards and achieving two meritorious promotions. Though his military career was demanding he successfully served both God and country simultaneously. This unique position gave him the opportunity to impact the lives of many as he was stationed in various places throughout is military career even serving outside of the U.S. during war time in Iraq. One of the highlights of his ministry in the Marines was the opportunity to serve as Pastor of the Ugandan Church in Iraq. Pastor Bamberg is happily married to the love of his life Mrs. Josephine M. Bamberg and is a devoted family man.

Pastor Willie J. & Josephine Bamberg He is the proud father of two sons Deondre and Shekinah, two daughters Jasmine Singh and Saniyyah and a grandfather of little Miss. Kimani Singh. Pastor Bamberg founded the Judah Sanctuary C.O.G.I.C in February of 2014 where under his leadership they are making a positive impact on their community as a multicultural church. Prior to excepting the call to senior pastoral ministry Pastor Bamberg was faithful in every ministry that he was a member of serving as minister of music, praise/ worship leader, Sunday school teacher, armor bearer, pastor’s aide, youth pastor and assistant pastor. At the district level he served as district Music Department President and Urban Initiatives President. At the jurisdictional level he served as the Jurisdictional Praise/Worship President and adjutant to General Board Member Bishop Ted G. Thomas Sr. Nationally he is an active Adjutant Brother and serves diligently at national conventions. He also serves in the Operations and Logistics Department for the International Holy Convocation and AIM convention of the Church of God in Christ. Pastor Bamberg was honored to be appointed a Commissioner of the Bishop C.E. Blake Legacy Conference and was anointed by Bishop Blake, passing the mantle as an “Elijah and Elisha” experience. Pastor Bamberg feels that he had received a “double portion” of Bishop Blake’s anointing to carry out the call on his life. Pastor Bamberg is a humanitarian and takes civic responsibility. He was appointed by the city of Portsmouth to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Commission and was elected and is serving as Chairman of the board. He also serve(d) on many committees that focuses on family and youth enrichment such as: Chain Breakers Inc.--Chairman, Church and Community In Action (CCIA), Martin Luther King Leadership Steering Committee, Kiwanis International, Westmorland Children and Youth Association and President of the PTA. Pastor Bamberg continued higher education throughout his military career, while working a full time job and in full time ministry. He has earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and is completing a Bachelors in Human Resource Management. He plans to continue education until he receives an earned Doctorate of Divinity. Pastor Bamberg is a proven leader and is sincere in his mission to make a difference. His motto is “There is no greater quality than always striving to be better than the person you are” and believes in working to strengthen weaknesses. He vows to keep working for the betterment of his community, nation and world declaring that he will not stop until his work is done. The sentiment that motivates Pastor Bamberg derives from Luke 2:49: “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?” It is Pastor Bamberg’s earnest expectation that he is always found fulfilling the call of God on his life and being about God’s business.
