False Facts About Donald Trump You Always Thought Were True
Relationship Norway and China - The Start of a New Chapter Foreign Minister Brende and Secretary Wegger flow in the meeting including the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in connection with the normalization of relations between Norway and China. Before Christmas we could mark a full normalization of our political and diplomatic relations with China. It was a very good news , and I'm proud of the work that has been invested to get there. China is the world's second largest economy, is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and is an important partner for Norway when it comes to international issues such as trade and climate. We have put behind us over six years without political contact between Norway and China. This has been a challenging situation. It is clearly in Norway's interest to have a normal bilateral relationship. For the government, it was important to get to where we are now. It has come as a result of a long and painstaking diplomatic efforts by Foreign Minister Brende and Secretary Wegger Stream, to restore confidence between our two countries. There have been long discussions and many meetings. For Norwegian industry and Norwegians working in exportoriented industries is the normalization of great importance.

Regardless of how you feel about Donald J. Trump, it's undeniable that he's been a fascinating public figure for years. Though he's been toying with the idea of running for president for decades, it was his outspoken nature, flamboyant wealth, and media presence that made him a household name. Before winning America's highest political office, Trump was perhaps best known for his casinos and his popular reality show, The Apprentice. He's also a man who's never been afraid to boast his achievements and slam his detractors. Inflated by his own claims, as well as the tabloid aura that tends to surround wealthy public figures, Trump's persona grew more and more outlandish over time. While much about Trump's businesses and personal life remains mired in controversy, some truth about the real estate tycoonturned 45th President of the United States has been revealed. Here are some false facts about Trump you always thought were true.
China is an important export market for including Norwegian fish and seafood, chemical products and marine equipment.Norway and China have already agreed to resume negotiations on a free trade agreement. From our side we will contribute to increased trade and increased Norwegian exports to China. This will help create more secure Norwegian jobs.
Samsung to Extend Quantum Dot Curved Monitor Line at CES
ith CES less than a week away, Samsung has previewed the new curved Quantum Dot monitor it will unveil at the show. Aimed at gamers, the CH711 is a 16:9 monitor housed within a white chassis that will come with screens measuring 27 or 31.5 inches. The CH711 joins the CFG70 and CF791 Quantum Dot curvedmonitorsthatwereunveiledearlierin the year and released this month in the US. Whereas the larger (34‐in) CF791 that boasts a 21:9 aspect ratio has a curvature of 1,500R, the CH711sharesa1,800RcurvaturewiththeCFG70, whichcomesin24‐and27‐invariants. These "R" numbers refer to the radius that would be required for the curve of the monitor to make a complete circle. For example, if the curve of the 1,800RCH711andCFG70wasextendedtomakea complete circle, that circle would have a radius of 1,800mm(70.8in). Samsung claims the Quantum Dot technology provides richer and more vibrant colors, with 125 percent sRGB color coverage. The CH711 also boasts a 178‐degree viewing angle of its 2,560 x 1,440 (WQHD) display. To reduce clutter, the monitor's power and HDMI cables are hidden awaywithinthestand'sneck. Samsung says the CH711 Quantum Dot Curved monitor will be available from early 2017, but is yet to reveal pricing details. However, for a point of comparison, the 27‐in CFG70 retails for US$450,whilethe34‐inCF791ispricedat$1,000.

LG's Latest Audio Tech Goes For The Neck
G's latest foray into wearables looks to be Bluetooth wireless sound systems worn around the neck. The company will unveil a pair of neckbands at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month – the LG Tone Studio that sports surround sound speakers, and the Tone Free that stows and charges a pair of wireless earbuds around your collar.
similar to the Tone Ultra we first saw in 2013, or Phiaton's BT 100 NC, except that it ditches all wires between the neckband and a set of earbuds. Instead, the band is used to stow and charge the fully wireless earbuds when they aren't in your ears. The band also vibrates for incoming calls and texts, and recognizes voice commands to receive or ignore calls.
The Tone Studio is a horseshoe‐shaped wearable speaker bar of sorts. It features two full range speakers on the top and two that vibrate on the bottom, to provide what the company calls a 3D surround sound experience. It's designed for personal listening to movies, video games or streaming music.
There's no word on availability or pricing for either of the new neckbands just yet. We hope to hear more at CES, starting January 5 in Las Vegas.
This isn't a totally new concept. At CES 2016, we were introduced to the Music Wrap, a crowdfunded set of speakers worn around the neck. While wearables might make you think of listening while on the go, the Tone Studio doesn't look to be the best choice for your morning jog, as it would probably flop around quite a bit, although it might be good for a mellow stroll. Instead, LG is emphasizing convenience and audio quality with the Tone Studio, which was designed with help from cinematic sound experts DTS and boasts a hi‐fi digital‐to‐analog converter (DAC). Tone Studio also features "dual play," which allows for connecting two of the neckbands to share audio from the same source. LG's second new neckband‐based product is Tone Free, which is

MENSWEAR TRENDS FOR SPRING
Interest in menswear is at an all‐time high. It’s chronicled on countless Instagram accounts, zines, and websites (this one included), and made poster boys of everyone from Nick Wooster to Luka Sabbat. Now that the men’s shows have wrapped up in Europe, menswear maniacs are already obsessing over what to wear come spring 2017. We’d place our bets on oversize suits, flood pants, and lots of leopard print. Familiarize yourself with those and the rest of season’s top trends.
THE BOLD SHOULDER Linemen? Not quite, yet the wide s t a t u r e o f t h e s e a s o n ’s m o s t interesting suits could accommodate even the broadest shouldered gents.
BEACH BAES It was an eclectic mash‐up of tropical florals, board shorts, and optic patterns on the runways this season. Just add surf, sun, and sand.
PACK MEN Dudes are on the move, and taking their possessions—from towels to track shoes—with them in oversize backpacks, shoulder bags, and duffels.

HIGH WATERS RUN DEEP Buddy up to your tailor now. You’ll want to be in his good graces should you choose to cop the flood‐length styles which emerged as one of Spring’s strongest silhouettes—statement socks optional, and strongly encouraged.
ARMY STRONG Utilitarianism has rarely looked as grungily good as it did on this season’s olive‐toned camo prints, whether patchworked (Valentino), abstracted (Bottega Veneta), or mashed up with filthy lucre (Givenchy).
SPOTS ON Leopard print’s no longer just the stuff of the women’s collections. This season labels from Dolce & Gabbana to Alexander McQueen offered customers the chance to wild out in spotted trousers, blousy tops, and even a faux‐ fur jacket or two. Understated? Not exactly. Fun? You bet.

BEAUT Y & CARE
Shampoo Mistakes & HOW TO FIX THEM
Washing your hair is easy, right? Just "rinse and repeat." But in real life it's not so simple. "While the act of washing your hair is pretty straightforward, the choices you make, such as the type of products, temperature of the water, and your washing schedule, are in fact a big deal in maintaining your hair," says Lorean Cairns, cofounder and creative director at New York's Fox & Jane salons. "How you shampoo can make or break everything else you do with your hair," Cairns says.
You Select a Formula Based on Your Hair Type
It's a no‐brainer to look for shampoo geared toward your hair type—normal, oily, dry, or color‐treated, but it won't always give you the best results. "Your normal may not be your friends' normal," says Anabel Kingsley, trichologist at Philip Kingsley. "And fine, dry hair will need different products than coarse, dry hair." Instead, she recommends matching your shampoo to your hair texture—fine, medium, coarse, or African/Caribbean. Fine hair, for example, needs a lightweight, protein‐ rich shampoo to add body. Coarse hair needs moisturizing, smoothing agents to keep it soft, manageable, and frizz‐free.
You Cleanse Like You Text—Fast and Furiously If you're in and out in under 5 minutes, you're probably not washing your hair thoroughly. "I often find that women don't take the time to fully wet their hair, let the shampoo lather, or shampoo twice if there's a lot of oil or product buildup," says Lauren Thompson, stylist at Nunzio Saviano Salon in Manhattan. When hair isn't completely saturated, the cleansing agents don't get distributed evenly, so some sections just don't get clean. Wet your whole head and lather up. Do it twice if you started with very greasy or product‐laden hair. (Hint: You'll know it's still dirty after the first shampoo if it doesn't produce a robust lather.)
38 EMAL MaGazine
You Think You Can't Wash Your Hair Every Day Celebs brag about rarely sudsing their strands, believing that over washing strips the hair's natural oils and leaves it dull and lifeless. Not true. "You wash your face daily and it doesn't dry it out—the same is true of your hair and scalp," Kingsley says. "It's actually water, not oil content, that keeps strands elastic and pliable." If you're not a fan of smelly, itchy oil buildup, which Kingsley says can cause flakes and irritation and ultimately trigger or worsen hair loss, feel free to lather up daily. But every other day also works for most people, Cairns says, and normal to dry types can stretch to every 3 days.
You OD on Dry Shampoo Yes, dry shampoo is a godsend for adding oomph to fine hair and looking presentable after a sweat session, but it's possible to have too much of a good thing. "You don't want to overdo it with dry shampoo because the buildup of product combined with trapped dirt, oil, and bacteria can clog the pores on your scalp, dulling hair's vibrance and potentially causing irritation," Thompson says. She suggests limiting use of the product between washes as much as possible. "Dry shampoo is made to extend the life of a blow‐dry, not to help people go without washing their hair," she says. If you're addicted to the uplifting spritz, consider a dry shampoo that protects the scalp from greasy, sweaty buildup: Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo has a special polymer that coats strands with a slick shield—so the oil‐soaked powder gets whisked away from your scalp when you brush it.
You Like a Good Steam Go for it while you're lathering, as the water would have to be hot enough to scald you before it would damage your scalp or hair, Kingsley says. However, most pros suggest dialing down the temperature for a final rinse. "Excessively hot water opens the hair's cuticle layer, exposing more fragile areas," Cairns says. "It's very important that you close back down the cuticle after applying conditioner by rinsing with cool or cold water."
IT’S A NEW SEASON OF BEAUTY..... 39 EMAL MaGazine
And it could be you! Want to be featured in an upcoming issues of EMAL? Mail us on email@example.com
You Massage a Little Too Enthusiastically We all love a vigorous head scrub at the salon, but don't try it at home. "Massaging aggressively will make the hair matted and extremely difficult to detangle, often breaking the hair," Thompson says. She recommends using the pads of the fingertips to work shampoo through hair in a back and forth motion, rather than in a circular motion, to help prevent tangling." (Here's how to give yourself the perfect scalp massage.) Definitely avoid piling long hair on top of your head in a nest, which looks glamorous in commercials but can lead to severe breakage.
You Put Your Shampoo on AutoRefill It's not that hair "gets used to" the same shampoo over time, as you might have heard. It's that your hair needs can shift—because of the season, your styling habits, coloring, and other factors. "Think of shampoo like a prescription, used for the right purpose at the right time," Cairns says. She tends to send clients home with a smoothing shampoo in the humid summer months and a volumizing shampoo in the dryer winter months, and she herself alternates between brightening purple shampoo and moisturizing formulas for her blonde locks. Before you reach for the same formula you've used since the release of the iPhone 6, consider the needs of your tresses today.
You Buy into The CoWashing Trend Co‐washing is all the rage right now, whether you use a cleansing cream in place of shampoo or reverse wash, applying conditioner first. But it just doesn't do the same job as classic shampoo and then conditioner. "Would you ever moisturize your skin before using a cleanser? Or wash your face with moisturizer, only cleansing it once a week?" Kingsley asks. "Scalp is skin. Scalp care should mimic your skin care routine." If you have short, low‐maintenance hair, co‐washing can be an occasional option, according to Cairns. But steer clear if your hair is colored, if you have a sensitive scalp or if you use heat tools on the regular—all of which require specific types of shampoo.
