EXPRESS/CHIEFS

EMAD AGAHI

OCTOBER 27 TH, 2013

INTRO: A BUSY SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN THE BCHL, WELL START OFF RIGHT HERE IN COQUITLAM WHERE THE EXPRESS WELCOMED IN THE CHILLIWACK CHIEFS, EMAD AGAHI HAS MORE FROM THE POIRIER SPORTS COMPLEX. (STARTS WITH COQUITLAM EXPRESS GOAL HORN AND FANS CHEERING..) THAT GOAL HORN WASN’T PLAYED QUITE ENOUGH TIMES FOR THE COQUITLAM EXPRESS IN A 4-3 LOSS AT HOME TONIGHT TO THE HANDS OF THE CHILIWCK CHIEFS. (PA ANNOUNCING COREY MACKIN’S OPPENING GOAL OF THE GAME..) YES IT WAQS COREY MACKIN AND LATER JACE HENNIG GAVE COQUITLAM A 2 GOAL LEAD EARLY IN THE FIRST PERIOD, AND THEY EVEN HAD A 3-1 LEAD AT ONE POINT AFTER A JOEY SANTUCCI MARKER. BUT THE PESKY CHIEFS THAT SCORED THE LAST THREE GOALS OF THE GAME TO COME OUT ON TOP. QUENTIN MCSHANE, JARET BABYCH, KURT BLACK, AND BEN BUTCHER ALL SCORED FOR CHILLIWACK IN THIS GAME. AFTER THE GAME EXPRESS PLAYERS STILL HAD SOME POSITIVES TO TAKE OUT OF THIS ONE: CAPTAIN RYAN ROSENTAHAL: “It’s a really frustrating loss especially at home we battled really hard tonight I thought we did a lot of things well, we outshot them we had a lot of chances and basically we need to work on burying them.” HERE’S CANNON PIPER ON JUST HOW TOUGH CHILLIWACK PLAYED THEM: “Yeah of course they had plenty of added motivation, played tough with a chip on their shoulder and used their size well so, I think that’s something well have to adjust to better next game and get back to how we had success in the first ones.” COQUITLAM HAS NOW LOST 4 GAMES IN A ROW AND FALLS TO 3RD SPOT IN THE BCHL’S MAINLAND DIVISION.
