As a celebration for this year’s Human Rights Day, ELSA Malta’s Human Rights and Social Policy offices collaborated together, to release a research paper on the various aspects of discrimination. ELSA Malta as an organisation aims at promoting human rights for all and finds it shocking that the issue of discrimination is still imminent today. This paper aims to tackle the different types of discrimination and the ways in which they can be combated both in Malta and at a European level, while also looking into various situations where discrimination takes place everyday. The paper also discusses the way the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a negative toll on individuals all over the world and has especially created a number of stigmas surrounding different nationalities and abilities.
