Level: K-3 Performance Standards The student: •

Identifies favorite nursery rhymes, poem books, and stories and relates them to personal experiences.

Identifies and understands basic cultural characteristics in text that are similar to his/her own, and recalls, events, their sequence, and obtains the main idea of the story.

Level: 4-6 Performance Standards The student: •

Selects and evaluates works read, listened to, or seen, and relates them to personal experiences.
