Purpose of Students’ Union jobs: To provide the highest quality services and standards in everything we do to achieve the Union’s Vision and Strategic Aims. Purpose of Poster Team Role: The purpose of the role is to update poster sites around campus on a regular basis to make sure all SU events are being promoted effectively. Reporting to:

Functional Relationships: Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing Communications, Marketing Team, Students’ Union staff, Sabbatical Officers Department:


Principal Duties of Post: • Responsible for updating poster sites around campus on a regular basis. • Working efficiently to ensure all poster sites are kept in date. • Sending posters to print • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders including Students’ Union staff, clients and students. General: • Attending regular meetings with the Marketing Manager to discuss projects. Other Information It is important to know that you will be appraised during the course of your work with the Students’ Union. You will be expected to participate in any training programme, meeting or conference considered relevant to your job. The Students’ Union expects all staff to participate and take ownership of their Induction, Appraisal Reviews, Departmental Staff Meetings and be responsible for reading and carrying out duties with full regard to the rules, policies and procedures and conditions of service contained in the Staff Handbook, and within Departments of the Students’ Union. A condition of employment is that all staff are expected to assist in key events throughout the year e.g. Summer Ball, Freshers Fair and any other key event, including elections, if necessary. Staff are expected to portray a positive image, both internally and externally of the Students’ Union by displaying high standards of service, integrity, punctuality, politeness and professionalism.


Ability to demonstrate good time management skills

Good command of the English language (written and verbal) Ability to interpret user’s requirements and deliver poster updates in accordance with a supplied brief Basic IT skills

Knowledge and understanding of the student audience
