8,000 to 10,000 people will attend. As of May 15, there were 469 booths and 442 were sold to 400 vendors, said Elko Convention and Visitors Authority events coordinator Jennifer Stotts. “It’s been really busy this year,” Stotts said. “I’ve had a lot of phone calls of people saying that they had to get in.” Last year the Expo had 417 exhibitors. Available hotel rooms are still a problem for the Expo.

“The response I am getting of the exhibitors is they’re asking for more space, but we’re getting to the point that we can’t expand the show any more, because we don’t have the hotel space,” she said. Some vendors had to cancel because they could not find hotel rooms. Just like last year, vendors are staying as far away as Winnemucca and West Wendover, Stotts said.
