Donna Fisher John Robertson, PP Here we are with Fall in the air and the changes in daylight are bringing color to the trees. Mowing and yard work are starting to slow down which creates more time for us to socialize in the evenings. With that being said we meet at the VFW 1439 on S. David St every third Thursday of the month and you are all welcome to join us in friendship and hospitality. Our President Jeff Duty has kept us busy this past month with working at the fair selling Duck Race Tickets, ‘What a great way to confirm why you are a Shriner.” You get to hear “Thank You.” from so many past patients and family members. You don’t realize how much we contribute to making the world a better place by helping kids until you sell tickets a couple times a year. Make plans to help out next year. We had the float to several parades as well as down to the Riverfront Park for the Duce Race itself. She sure looks good with the updated signs and carpet. If you are ever interested in getting out to parades just let us know as we are always looking for more Nobles to enjoy spreading the word of our Fraternity and Philanthropy. We are headed into October and we will have our annual Octoberfest meeting and Dinner. Call for more details. November is around the corner and we need more Candidates so make sure you visit your Lodges and stay involved. Call Denny Hogan @ 509-217-3607, John @ 509-590-5441 or Rod @ 509-990-4028.

A fun time was had by our members in working the El Katif fair booth. What a big job setting this up and long hours. Thank you for including all the groups. The Clownery face painted Sept 23/24th at Valley Fest and are looking forward to Christmas. We went to Western Area in September to Scotsdale,Az, consisting of nine western states. The courts did Indian dancing, fan dancing, and we did HOT TODDY with pixies and IT’S A SMALL WORLD featuring the children of the Shrine. There was a Grand Canyon tour along with others. Ask those that went about the fun. Don’t forget May 2018 is Hawaii. Save your money. We have movie night with popcorn once a month. MEETINGS – 1st Tuesday of each month at Concordia Lodge in Millwood. 7:00. WEAR THE WHITE FEZ.. Dues are $35. HAPPY HALLOWEEN It’s the Songs you sing and the Smiles you wear that make the Sunshine everywhere.
