recision Carpets Pty Ltd is a Perthbased company that supplies and installs flooring for both commercial and domestic projects. Operating in Perth for over 10 years, Precision Carpets has established itself as a market leader in the flooring industry through its expertise, innovation, experience and commitment to customer service. Mike Kane, the owner of Precision Carpets, is a qualified flooring installer who began working in the flooring installation industry over 20 years ago. From this background, Mike has developed a true understanding of all aspects of the industry. He is ably assisted by his staff of three – Ashlee Salmon, project manager; Mark Pritchard, project manager/estimator and Rebekah Clements, administration assistant.
Nearly 10 years ago, Mike opened a showroom in Mount Hawthorn, housing all the major manufacturers’ products and providing a convenient venue for customers both domestic and commercial to browse flooring samples and view examples of recent work. While the business has grown from its small beginnings as a sole trader, Mike has strived to keep his business to a size that is manageable so that he can continue to be “hands on” and able to be involved with all projects. The majority of the projects carried out by Precision Carpets take place in the Perth metropolitan area. However, some large projects have also been undertaken in other regions of Western Australia. The company’s main clientele consists of commercial customers
although they do carry out a small proportion of work for domestic customers. These domestic jobs often come about through “word-of-mouth” references from other customers. “Our expertise in the commercial market has led to Precision Carpets completing some of Perth’s most prestigious projects,” explained Mike. “From hospitality to office and retail customers, we have undertaken some of the biggest projects in the Perth region. These include Crown Perth, the Gold Class Cinemas at Innaloo, the Perth Hyatt, Joondalup Resort Conference Centre and a number of other hotels including Travelodge, Holiday Inn, Rydges Hotel, Seashells, Wyndham Estate and Ibis."
