Founded by Stacy Bendet in New York City, New York in 2002, Alice and Olivia allows women to express their personal styles.
Alice and Olivia first enters Greater China through a wholesale relationship with the luxury department store, Lane Crawford, in 2008.
The brand originated when Stacy start a personal quest to create the perfect pair of pants. Stacy then entered a partnership with Rebecca Matchett, and thus started Alice and Olivia, which is actually named after both of their mothers.
Since then the brand has been one of the best performing contemporary brands in its stores in Hong Kong and China.
In 2002, Bendet launched a 20-item collection based around that concept at the Russian Tea Room. In 2003, Bendet and Andrew Rosen bought out Rebecca Matchett and entered into business together. They each invested $50,000, to this day, Alice + Olivia has no other investors. (Abdou, J, 2018)
