Based on the idea of ressignificate stained sheets of randomly printed porcelain decals, “Folhas Velhas� as they were named by workers, this project proposes a game imagery about what can be be perceived further than comunicate the decoration process of the worldly renowed portuguese porcelain factory Vista Alegre.

The fact is that these drawings should not receive an overlapping treatment, these traditional porcelain decorations went wrong somewhere through the printing process and were converted in cleaning sheets, now their primordial function is to prepare the way for new and perfect decorations before and after they’re rejected.

Rescuing their primary purpose, this work is the search for materialization of chance.

Different designs, colors, techniques of printing and burning cause the chance remains as creative agent throughout the process.

111 exclusive pieces with images that are not born to be what they are.

Chaos and order, control and unpredictability, uniqueness and series production, art and industry.

This project integrates the final research for the Master Degree in Design, Aveiro University, December, 2013.
