Welcome We live in a crazy, busy world. Surrounded by Wi-Fi at every turn, bombarded by social media, and with to-do lists coming out of our ears, it’s no wonder we have a ridiculously hard time switching off when we’re done with the work day. It’s easy to slip into media junkie mode. We can’t quite bring ourselves to switch off in case we miss that next email. If you’ve had enough of this and are ready to turn the page, then.. Welcome to our zen world!

Taking time each and every day to block out technological distractions and introduce the things into your world that make you calm, make you happy, and bring a smile to your face are absolutely essential to your very being!

Cell phones are often the first and last thing we reach for every day, and this affects our initial mood and final thoughts. This can be a risk to our mental health, blood pressure, personal well being, and your relationships with your loved ones.

Our technological society accelerates stress and anxiety levels. The more stimuli we experience, the more pressure we feel to conform. If you are anything like me, you can be reached on Facebook (personal and business pages), WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, a personal AND business website, personal email…it’s endless!

“Yoga is the ultimate stress buster. It provides us with a safe place to travel on a daily basis.” ~ Caroline Layzell

A breathing and meditation practice slows the pulse, eases our monkey minds, and clears out junk while creating space for serenity. Daily practice prepares us to stay calm in even the craziest of circumstances.

The yoga mat is our own little paradise island where we can lose cell reception, ditch to-do lists, and return to the simple things such as our breath, find connection, and be in our bodies instead of floating all around them.

Yoga is absolutely an invitation to be exactly where and who you are! It provides the strength to handle absolutely anything that comes.

ZEN INSPIRED CLOTHING

The Divine in you At Namasté we create garments in which we relax, we feel comfortable in, we live. With earthy color palettes, soft textures, exceptional denim. At Namasté, we draw outside the lines. We address those who choose garments that stand out and deviate from the mainstream norms imposed by the fashion industry.

Philosophy The Namasté team approaches clothing through a humanistic point of view, paying attention to detail and the special characteristics of the garments and accessories that compliment them. We aim at dressing every moment of the day and creating an experience.

WHAT IT REALLY MEANS

Namaste-

A greeting that honors the person inside us and next to us. A gesture – palms pressed together in front of the heart – to show gratitude and appreciation. A breath… So, we took a deep breath and in a time of creative maturity we started a new brand. We named it Namasté.

Life Choice In times when the sources of information are unlimited, we choose to clear our mind through minimal and innovative aesthetics. So, “Namasté”… We breathe deeply, relax and enjoy our journey with our collection.

“The light in me honours the light in you.”

The experience of oneness is held in the Heart Chakra, not the mind. The feeling that reveals you are in oneness is pure love. Love not based on the material world image, but the pure true love between body and soul, creation and creator.

By withdrawing the senses, your mind’s awareness turns inward. To withdraw the senses and still be in the mind is not pratyahara.

When the senses are only aware of the life around your body, the senses cannot be fully aware of your soul in the Heart Chakra. The senses must be withdrawn; in Yoga this is called “Pratyahara.”

Why does one need to go deep into the Heart Chakra, and how does one achieve this process? The reason for going deep into the Heart Chakra is to guide the senses that are controlled by the mind and also control the mind, into the Heart.

True pratyahara is withdrawing the senses from the outer story of separateness, into the inner Truth of oneness that glows in your heart.

When the mind and its minion senses are gathered together and guided inward, the gifts of the senses are now in a different reality. This reality is called oneness, innerworld, intuition, soul, spirit, Divine, union, source, etc. The more focused the mind is in its ability to gather the senses, the deeper purity and truth of the experience of oneness — love. When the senses finally enter the Heart Chakra, the senses become calmer and more in your control.

The secret to this whole process of pratyahara, and going into the Heart Chakra requires humility. Humility is when the mind and the personality it created through senses (known as ego) have reached a willingness to change. The aspiration to transform and discover a new perspective of oneself and life is also the feeling of humility.

MAKE A PROMISE TO YOURSELF

Move with Asana The simple act of moving helps us to achieve a healthy and happy body and mind. Make a promise to yourself: When the yoga mat comes out, communication devices are turned off. When you break from these distractions, you invite zen into your life, so practice in a room with no phone or computer or at least turn them off. Dedicate this small portion of your day to yourself and no one else. Enjoy the escape from the daily routine.

Find your Breath Prana translates to energy or life force, while ayama means restraint or control. Yogis do regular pranayama to clear the channels of their mind for meditation. The simplicity of taking a moment out of your hectic day to breathe thoughtfully can make all the difference in your ability to be still, be present, switch off from stress, and connect with your loved ones by letting the worries of your day simply float away.
