The design demonstrates the art of simplicity and the ideal notion that “if you do to one side, you have to add the same amount to the other side.” This goes into play through the ceiling, flooring, and custom shelving while using the hexagon as a special guide. The hexagon is the engine that drives the design process by demonstrating contemporary design and custom furniture to help enhance the true beauty of Kate Spade New York.I

Poetry is a language. Poetry helps us understand each other and touch us internally. It allows us to express ourselves and break the fabrication of grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. Poetry is a way to serve a deep internal purpose far more bigger than ourselves. “Words Become Phrases is the conceptual drive throughout the process as it dances its way into the interior and exterior building. It shines a light where ever it goes, creating value and meaning into reality.

ADDITIONAL WORK

PEACE

Facade design was inspired by the traditional Filipino star known as the “parol. During Christmas time, legend stated that whenever one feels unbalanced or uneasy within their life. the northern star will lead the individual towards where they need to be. The facade is orchestrated through folded paper moducles of the stars weaving its way into the universe. The geometry emphasizes fluidity and curvature within its thick 2D surface. Its functionality can be performed as a curtain which can be expanded and installed within almost any enclosed public space.

PURSUIT An “organic bowl design by experiencing different spacial models and materials such as bristal paper (top) and recycled plastic (below). The bowl itself comes from an abstraction of the evalution of growth within the center of the coral reef - an elegant piece for almost any residential or hospitality space.
