SPELLING BEE COMPETITION What do the words ‘tonsillitis’ and ‘zinnia’ have in common? Ordinarily, nothing. Yet these words together took on everything as they were some of the last words which had to be spelled precisely during the remaining rounds of the Paris Spelling Bee (PSB) Finals. The 2015 finals proved the most challenging with contestants spelling for over 3 hours and reaching beyond 23 rounds! We are proud to announce that two of our own students won first and second 23
place! Featuring over 20 students from international schools all over Paris, the Paris Spelling Bee Finals also included 4 other top students of EIB from grades 5 and 6. EIB-The Victor Hugo School believes that such events are a great opportunity for students to support each other and to earn recognition for their hard work !
