All Primary students have lunch at school. They can either buy hot lunches or bring a packed lunch. Our staff supervises students during lunchtime in the school dining hall and during the recreation time when they go off premises to the nearby park. As of Grade 1, our Primary students sit exams at the end of each trimester. The results of these tests are communicated to parents at regular meetings and in the students’ progress reports. At the end of Grade 5, children sit the official Cambridge 12
Primary Checkpoint Examinations for Literacy, Math, and Science. Primary students also have daily French lessons, according to EIB Paris’ exclusive language program. French instruction is offered by proficiency levels (from beginner to fluent) and through other academic activities that are taught by French teachers such Art, Music and Sports. Other than English and French, Chinese and Japanese language courses are also available for native speakers. At the end of Primary a graduation ceremony is organized to celebrate the start of Middle School.
