He wants to give all people of EHEDG a voice and he believes that innovative hygienic engineering and design, safe food processing and engaging communication go together perfectly. Why does EHEDG need a Sub-Committee for communication? Karl-Heinz Bahr: “Our drive to communicate is very old. Sharing stories while preparing and consuming food shaped our communities. The European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group is also a community, and unlike its name suggests it’s a global community as well. The EHEDG Executive Committee provided us with a clearly defined mission: to convey EHEDG value proposition to attract new members, to support sales of EHEDG products and services, to convince members to contribute to EHEDG Working Groups and to stimulate EHEDG growth by supporting regional development. We also feel responsible for keeping the communication processes within EHEDG transparent, because we believe that open communication is a must for a community in which many companies and many commercial interests are represented. That’s why we strive to engage our members to communicate their views and share their experiences and best and worst practices with each other openly - for the benefit of food safety and quality worldwide.” What’s special about this? “EHEDG is a community of professionals who want to support each other.
