Join us for Holy Week and Easter: Easter is the central Chris an fes val of the year. It is a  me of challenge, reflec on and  hope.  Morningside Parish Church shares services with Greenbank Parish Church and this  year services will be in Morningside Parish Church. Our theme will be, ‘The Art of Holy  Week.’  14th April: Palm Sunday, 9.30am and 10.30am Services.  15th ‐ 17th April, 7.30pm Holy Week services.  18th April: 7.30pm, Maundy Thursday ‐ with Communion.  19th April: Good Friday.  12noon ‐ 3pm 'The Three Hours', with words, music and silence. Guest speaker, Bishop  Richard Holloway. This service will include words, music and quiet reflec on, with people  free to stay for as long or as short a  me as they are able.  7.30pm   Good Friday evening service with choral music.  20th April  7.30pm Holy Saturday ‐ a service with readings and music.  21st April   10.30am Easter Sunday service, followed by refreshments.  28th April, 9.30am and 10.30am services;   3pm Remembering Service – a special service for those remembering loved ones who  have died. The service is open to all.  Morningside Parish Church aims to be a welcoming and inclusive congregaƟon. OUT AND ABOUT GROUP Would you like to get  Out and About around  Edinburgh?  Would you like to visit  places of interest?  Do you enjoy the companionship of other older  people?  Are you able to get on and off the bus and walk  short distances?  Then please come and join us in the Out and  About Group.  The Out and About Group will meet on the 2nd  and 4th Wednesday of every month from 10am  un l 12.30pm  We look forward to mee ng you.  For further details please contact Denise Young

Volunteer Drivers Needed Big‐hearted drivers with a spare Sunday a ernoon are needed to help li  the spir‐ its of some of the capital’s loneliest people. Contact the Elderly, a charity tackling  social isola on among the older genera on, provides companionship through free  Sunday a ernoon tea par es across Edinburgh. The popular gatherings offer a  lifeline of friendship for older people living alone who o en have difficulty ge ng  out and about. A vital part of the service is the door‐to‐door transport provided by  volunteer drivers who chauffeur guests to and from the events. But a shortage of  drivers has led to a long wai ng list of guests eager to join the par es. To find out  more about becoming a volunteer for Contact the Elderly in Edinburgh, please  contact Lorna Dunbar at lorna.dunbar@contact‐the‐elderly.org.uk or tel

Homestyle Blinds                                                      I would like to recommend Homestyle  blinds and shu ers, 24 Comiston Road,  Morningside Edinburgh EH10 5QE. They  made new blinds and curtains for my  si ng room just before Christmas 2018. I  am thrilled and delighted with the re‐ sult.  The service was brilliant from start to  finish and the quality of the finished ar cle  was second to none.  I would have no hesi‐ ta on in recommending this service to  other people and have in fact done so re‐ cently.
