2011 CGS DEVELOPMENT FESTIVAL: THE 2ND OF ITS KIND The CGS Development Festival has continued to grow in popularity since its inception in 2010 and has been one of the biggest squash events in South Africa which has been running annually for the past 2 years. This year a total of 461 kids from the Inner-city, Alexander Township and Soweto schools participated in the Festival. Full of excitement and energy; the kids had the opportunity to get hands on experience and further their skills in squash, gain knowledge in Life Skills and engage in a variety of outdoor activities which included fun races, poetry, soccer, dance, poetry and art competitions. All these activities were set at the prestigious UJ Kingsway Campus in Auckland Park which gave us access to 5 squash courts, 2 Lecture rooms for the In-door activities and their grounds for the out-door activities.
