High Standards, Boldness and Solidarity Our Fundamental Values EFREI Facts and Figures Created in 1936 by Ernest Lavigne, EFREI initially specialized in the new technology of the time: radio electricity. Since then, EFREI has continuously adapted its curriculum to technological developments. In the 1960s, the focus was placed on electronics and, with the invention of the microcomputer in 1972 by the EFREI engineer AndrĂŠ Truong, the priority shifted to computer science.

Testimonials EFREI provided me with the opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art design for innovative computer interfaces. With its well-equipped laboratories and dedicated team of researchers, the experience at EFREI helped me to significantly develop my academic skills. I am greatly indebted to EFREI for having made my project-internship, the most amazing experience worth living! Anmol Sharma, Research student, Velore Institute of Technology, India, 2010 My team and I worked on a framework for multimedia content on the Internet. I really enjoyed learning how to work effectively in a team. The best part was that we had the chance to present our work at the DoncEng 2010 conference in Manchester. Joan Romano Montserrat, FIB, Barcelona, Spain, 2010

Testimonial Before coming to Paris, EFREI had already taken care of my accommodation. On my first day at EFREI, the French students greeted us with breakfast. During the orientation program, they helped us get settled and sort out practical things like opening bank accounts and getting cell phone service. We were also shown all the major attractions in Paris. Social life on campus was great as students organized a lot of parties. The study atmosphere was also pleasant. I especially enjoyed working on projects which allowed me to be autonomous and explore my creative side. Hannah Grabbe, Erasmus exchange student, Potsdam University, Germany, 2010-2011

Top Industrial Partners

A Spotlight on our Recent Partnership with HN Consulting Through the EFREI/HN partnership, high-profile IT students from China, who are working towards the EFREI Engineering degree, have the opportunity to work as experts as part of international IT projects developed with French HN clients in China.

Alumni Profile Subhaneel Biswas left India and a job in an IT consulting firm in order to complete a French Master's degree in Engineering. Since graduating, he has been employed in a small French consulting company. For me, coming to Europe was more than just about obtaining a degree. I wanted to gain real professional experience in international consulting and to break away from the path traditionally taken by Indian engineers. Subhaneel Biswas, n+i, India, (2007-2009)

His Background 2001-2005: Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Assam Engineering College, Gauhati University 2005-2007: Programming-analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions (Calcutta) 2007-2009: Master's degree in Information System Engineering at EFREI Since October 2009: Consultant service desk at Majeur 7 (Suresnes, FRANCE) (Featured in a 2 page spread, in the computer science magazine, O1 INFORMATIQUE, June 10, 2010)
