Dr Cosmos Dylan Moran once again offers his unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life, all served with poetical panache from one of the finest comedians of his generation. Moran has been called the Oscar Wilde of comedy and his famed style – deadpan, witty and crackpot lyricism – promises to be an unmissable journey through his interpretations of the world, swerving cliche to offer a cutting blow to our idiosyncrasies.

OFF THE BALL HEINEKEN RUGBY CLUB

Paddy Crazy Horse He rants and raves, he dances and acts. He tries to be very silly and very serious at the same time. He mixes a love of comic rebellion and a refusal to be conscripted into a rational view of the world with a deep grá for talking and the poetry of everyday speech. Using high theatricality and lots of dirty words, this is a fast paced and exuberant celebration of everything that’s wild, wrong and wonderful about being alive right here, right now. It is by turns clever and then really stupid.

The Rugby World Cup is almost here and to mark the occasion there’s going to be a big send-off in Limerick! NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE

THE BON JOVI STORY

KING LEAR Cert PG

Filmed live in London’s West End, see Ian McKellen’s ‘extraordinarily moving portrayal’ (Independent) of King Lear at UCH Cinema! Chichester Festival Theatre’s production received five-star reviews for its sell-out run, with Jonathan Munby directing this ‘nuanced and powerful’ (The Times) contemporary retelling of Shakespeare’s tender, violent, moving and shocking play. Considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written, King Lear sees two ageing fathers – one a King, one his courtier – reject the children who truly love them, unleashing a violent power struggle with bitter ends.

The Bon Jovi Story details the band’s history from their breakthrough album Slippery When Wet up to their present day inclusion into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.  The story is told through live performances of their most poignant and iconic songs, coupled with a series of video montages and costume/ set changes, which replicate the band’s best loved concerts “the show looks amazing and sounds incredible.  Even Paul was fooled by the vocals.  Amazing talent!” Patti, wife of Paul Korzilius, manager to Bon Jovi

FRIDAY 17TH JANUARY

THE THREE AMIGOS

AN EVENING WITH

Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizell and Patrick Feeney have played a major part in the transformation of country music in Ireland. All three enjoy hugely successful solo careers and when they come together the chemistry and magic generated on stage is truly very special. The show continues to enthral audiences with a perfect mix of music, song and comedy.  Expect comedy sketches, a mix of country hits from both sides of the Atlantic, some great rock ‘n’ roll standards and special tributes to the late Don Williams, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Merl Haggard, Joe Dolan and Big Tom McBride.

The High Kings are Finbarr Clancy, Darren Holden and Brian Dunphy. In June 2007, they were all invited to join a brand new Irish band as three of the four founder members of the High Kings, with Martin Furey. As they took to the rehearsal studio for the first time, it didn’t take long for them to realise that the way their four unique voices blended together was the start of something special. Over 10 years, they released 4 studio albums, 2 live albums, and two DVD’s and have fast become multi-platinum artists. The High Kings (now Finbarr, Darren & Brian) continue to set the bar extremely high for Irish folk bands across the world and are now widely regarded as the standard bearers.

TOMMY EMMANUEL

THE MUSICAL BOX:

Tommy Emmanuel has achieved enough musical milestones to satisfy several lifetimes. Or at least they would if he was the kind of artist who was ever satisfied. At the age of six, he was touring regional Australia with his family band. By 30, he was a rock n’ roll lead guitarist burning up stadiums in Europe. At 44, he became one of five people ever named a Certified Guitar Player by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins. Today, he plays hundreds of sold-out shows every year from Nashville to Sydney to London. All the while, as the international master of the solo acoustic guitar, Tommy has hungered for what’s next. “If you like guitar playing, it simply doesn’t get any better than Tommy.”

A GENESIS EXTRAVAGANZA In 2018, in an all-out performance of live visual signature stunts, a museumworthy array of vintage instruments and a dizzying pace of hit tracks and stage rarities, The Musical Box indulged in an intense trip of their own imagining - into the world of early Genesis. Now they return, with Part II! As the only band ever licensed and supported by Genesis and Peter Gabriel, The Musical Box presents a new show featuring the music of Trespass, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by The Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail and Wind & Wuthering.  A performance that any Genesis fan will not want to miss!

SHARON SHANNON, FRANCIS BLACK & MARY COUGHLAN

FARMER MICHAEL & KATHLEEN LIVE

Sharon Shannon, Frances Black and Mary Coughlan unite for a unique show bringing together their collective talents. The three performers are some of the most successful female artists Ireland has to offer.  They are no strangers to performing together, having been an integral part of the hugely successful Woman’s Heart albums and tours.  They will each perform a set with their own musicians, performing many of their greatest hits, with all three on stage together to finish the night.

After only 3 years on the comedy scene, Stevo and Sinéad have gathered a following of over 500,000 people worldwide, and over 100 million views on some of their sketches. They’ve sold out shows all over Ireland and the UK and their videos have been featured in LadBible, Benchwarmers, JOE.ie, Irish Independent, The Daily Edge, The Star, The Sun, The Mirror, as well as mentions from international superstars Shaquille O’Neill and Marylon Wayans. They have appeared at length on RTÉ’s Ryan Tubridy Show, 4FM and 98FM as well as being seen on TV3, CNN, Fox and Sky. The King & Queen of farming satire may offend some but aren’t planning on quitting any time soon!
