Henry Gene exists to build Miami. It has been carefully designed and tailored for the future needs of Miami’s residents and future residents.

Henry Gene Construction Group takes on four to five projects a year, and we make an effort to not to grow in respects to the number of projects we take on at one time. Because of this, we are able to give each project the attention it needs and deserves. When we are needed, we are available to our clients. Every project needs supervision, even the small ones. Every project is carefully staffed from a supervision point of view. Project quality is a function of proper on site supervision and healthy subcontractor relationships. We have found through experience that there is simply no other way quality can be ensured other than on–site quality control. If the task of finding/coordinating architects, engineers, designers, and permitting sounds daunting, let us help. We can manage your entire project program under a single contract, with one point of contact. Projects with good program management result in better documents, quality, timing, and reduced change orders. In an effort to be transparent, proactive, and communicate progress clearly, Henry Gene provides detailed interim reports for the project owners. These reports feature photos, summaries, and easy to understand features that assist in keeping our clients informed.

Henry Gene was founded by Edwin Sellers Jr. a second generation builder originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He started working in at the age of 15 operating a forklift in a construction warehouse. He quickly elevated becoming a foreman for a crew operating in New York City and Washington DC. After he attended Purdue University and received a degree in Construction Management. Following graduation he moved to Miami, Florida. Since moving to Miami, Edwin has been involved in over $400 million worth of projects. He has worked on Ultra luxury retail, estates from $2 to $40 million, condo buildouts, commercial build-outs, and mixed use high-rise.
