Overview The Academic English Program helps students meet the minimum language requirements of an EF University Preparation program.

Program details – 2 to 52 weeks, starting every Monday – 6, 9 or 11 months – Start dates in January, April, June and September.*

EF UNIVERSITY PREPARATION ABROAD: OUR PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE University Foundation Year

Overview This program of 30-32 lessons per week will prepare high school graduates for an English-speaking university. Students should take it to progress directly to a bachelor’s degree program.

Program details – 9 or 11 months in the UK and Singapore, 6 or 9 months in the USA and Canada, or 9 months in Australia – Start dates in January, April, June (6-month program only) and September.*

Locations London, Cambridge, Oxford, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Vancouver, Sydney.

English requirement – 9 month program: IELTS score of 5.0, TOEFL 510 PBT / 180 CBT / 64 IBT or equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test. – 6 month program: IELTS score of 5.5, TOEFL 525 PBT/ 194 CBT/ 71 IBT or equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test.

Results Guaranteed admission to a Bachelor’s degree program at a university in the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia or Singapore.

Diploma in Business & Management

Overview Take this program to progress directly onto the second year of a Bachelor of Business degree in the UK. The program consists of 30 lessons per week (40-minute lessons) during the first 16 weeks followed by 27 lessons per week (40-minute lessons) during the remaining 20 weeks, plus reading and exam weeks.

Program details – 7 or 11 months – Start dates in January (7 months) and August (11 months) for students who have completed an EF University Foundation Year, A-levels, IB or equivalent.*

English requirement – IELTS score of 5.5, TOEFL 525 PBT/ 194 CBT/ 71 IBT, or equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test. – Students must reach IELTS 6.0 to start stage two.

Results Guaranteed admission to the second year of a UK Business and Management degree.

University Transition Program

Overview This flexible length program helps high school graduates prepare for university study while earning up to 21 university credits that can be transferred to a Bachelor’s degree program at one of EF’s partner universities.

Program details – 2 or 3 terms of up to 14 weeks each – Start dates in January, April and September.*

Locations Boston and Atlanta

English requirement – Minimum TOEFL 450 PBT/ 45 IBT or the equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test.

Results Guaranteed admission to a US bachelor’s degree program with up to 21 credits.

Accelerated College Degree Program (ACDP)

Overview This two-phase program has 32 lessons of 40 minutes p/ week in phase one. Students aged 16+ who have finished Grade 11 can earn a high school diploma and an Associate’s degree in just 2 years (plus preparation time).

Program details – Phase one: 6 or 9 months – Phase two: 2 years – Start dates in January, April, June (6-month program only) and September.*

Locations Seattle and Vancouver

English requirement – 9-month program: IELTS 4.0, TOEFL 380 PBT/ 83 CBT/ 26 IBT – 6-month program: IELTS 4.5, TOEFL 410 PBT/ 103 CBT/ 34 IBT or the equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test.

Results Complete your Bachelor’s degree program at a University in the US or Canada in 24 months.

Pre-Master’s, Pre-MBA & Pre-PhD Program

Overview A program that prepares university graduates for entrance to a postgraduate degree program, consisting of 30 lessons per week in the UK and 32 per week in the USA and Australia. Lessons are 40 minutes each.

Program details – 6 or 9 months – Start dates in January, April, June (6-month program only) & September.*

Locations – Pre-Master’s & Pre-MBA: London, Cambridge, New York, Boston, San Francisco and Sydney – Pre-PhD: Cambridge

What is an EF University Foundation Year? The EF University Foundation Year is a nine- or six-month program of study that helps international students meet the language and academic requirements for university entrance in an English-speaking country. This additional year of secondary school studies is required for students seeking higher education in the United Kingdom and highly recommended for students who wish to study in the United States, Canada, Australia. This program bridges the gap between a student’s previous education, and what is expected of him or her at a university abroad. Successful graduates of the program are guaranteed admission to one of EF’s 150 worldwide partner institutions. Gain the skills to succeed Our EF University Foundation Year thoroughly prepares you for the challenges of higher education. You’ll learn essential study skills such as essay writing, critical thinking and group work, as well as academic English. It will also provide you with an overview of local customs and educational systems. Depending on your location, you can specialize your studies with academic coursework in Business, Engineering, Science, Information Technology, Law, Art, Media & Communications, Tourism, Sports Science and Architecture.

Guaranteed admission to university Every EF school has a dedicated University Pathway Manager to advise students on the university application process, including finding suitable degree programs, visiting universities and helping with application materials and deadlines. Perfect your English EF University Foundation Year will give you the training in English you need to meet university enrollment requirements. DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT Earn guaranteed entry into the second year of a UK Business or Management undergraduate degree.

What is the EF Diploma in Business and Management? This intensive 11-month program prepares students for entry to the second year of a UK undergraduate program in a business or management-related field. All university bachelor’s degrees in the UK require international students to study an additional year of schooling, known as a University Foundation Year. This diploma combines this extra year of secondary education with the first year of a bachelor’s

degree. As a result, you are allowed to enter the second year of an undergraduate degree quickly, after one year instead of two. UNIVERSITY TRANSITION PROGRAM

If you successfully complete your University Transition Program and meet the graduation requirements, you’ll gain admittance to a Bachelor’s degree program at one of our partner universities.

What is the EF University Transition Program? This program is designed for high school graduates who wish to earn a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited American university. During the program you will improve your academic English skills; acquire crucial academic, study and research skills; as well as complete academic coursework towards your program of study.

Fast track to a university degree During this program, you not only prepare for university study, but earn up to 21 university credits, which can be transferred to a Bachelor’s degree program of your choice. This program can be completed in two or three terms depending on your English and academic abilities. Once you’ve completed this program, you’ll be on track to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in your chosen field in just over three years. A unique program The University Transition Program is divided into two types of classes: > Classes taught at an EF International Language Center, including English language, academic skills and university preparation classes to help you prepare for and complete your forthcoming Bachelor’s degree successfully. > Classes taught at a partner university, which are worth up to 21 academic credits toward a Bachelor’s degree. Undergraduate Program

ACCELERATED COLLEGE DEGREE PROGRAM Build a strong academic foundation while acquiring a North American diploma and Associate's Degree.

What is the EF Accelerated College Degree Program (ACDP)? EF’s Accelerated College Degree Program allows students who have completed Grade 11 to earn a high school diploma and an Associate’s degree in the United States or Canada. The first phase of study takes place at an EF International Language Center where you’ll strengthen and reinforce your English language skills in preparation for two years of academic study where you’ll earn your high school diploma and Associate’s degree at a partner university. You’ll graduate at least one year earlier than your classmates back home – saving you time and money. After completion of your Associate’s degree, you may choose to continue your university education by transferring your university credits towards the completion of a full Bachelor’s degree.

Seattle Central Community College in Washington State or Columbia College in Vancouver, Canada. You’ll work closely with your University Pathway Manager to determine your academic discipline and how best to apply your academic credentials.

Earn a diploma and prepare for a degree This program is divided into two phases. The first will be spent at one of the EF schools in the United States or Canada where you’ll develop your English fluency, academic writing skills and prepare for university study. Phase two is spent at one of EF’s partner colleges where you earn a high school diploma at the same time as you study for your Associate’s degree in Washington State or Vancouver. Students can complete both in just two years and therefore save one year of tuition costs as well as living expenses.

Guaranteed placement Complete the EF Accelerated College Degree Program and you’ll fast-track to college and graduate from university at least one year earlier than your classmates back home. Our programs guarantee your successful entry to a college degree program though our trusted partnerships with accredited institutions of higher learning where you’ll graduate with the academic qualifications you need to succeed.

Immersed at a North American campus While enrolled in the second phase of the Accelerated College Degree Program, you’ll be living and learning alongside American or Canadian students as you gain further English fluency and earn your Associate’s Degree.
