EDUARDO Eduardo Osuna Heras began his architectural career months before his graduation, working at ARTYEN, a well-recognized residential construction company located in Monterrey, México.

Throughout his career, Eduardo Osuna has demonstrated immense passion as he involves himself in projects from initial conception to execution, enjoying and gaining deep knowledge of all the process stages. His design philosophy is based on enhancing the human experience through space efficiency. He is characterized by the way he works, hand-in-hand with his clients.

During the design process for house SMO1, there was a constant drive for volumetric experimentation, as seen in the implementation of double height spaces. The concept is based on a main element, the staircase, a component that serves to divide the social spaces from the private areas.

In keeping with this, the entertainment room and terrace are located in the back, clearly separated from other daily use areas. The top floor is designed as a space for family activities and resident bedrooms.

Both in the exterior and interior of the house, a modern and peaceful look is achieved using a combination of cold and warm colors, such as white and brown. The use of natural light harmonizes the entire design.

MAV6 RESIDENCE SAN PEDRO GARCÍA, MÉXICO

The MAV6 project provides 5920 square feet of residential space, distributed on three levels. For this home, a in-dept study was done regarding human interaction, traditional family activities and the connection between spaces. The design of the MAV6 residence consists of two volumes, joined together by bridges located in the social areas.

The second floor of the house is designed to function as the area where all the family activities take place.

Bedrooms are located on this level. The ground floor includes the kitchen, dinning and utility areas. Two social spaces share the basement floor, one indoor and the other outdoor. A water mirror and bridge directly connect the areas.

The PEC Project has 6027 square feet of construction. The plan is based on the concept of a residential house for a traditional family.

All the social and utility spaces are located in the ground floor, while the upper level is reserved for private areas.

This design ensured that there is a garden view in all the social areas like the media, room, dining room and terrace. The balconies are a great addition to each bedroom of the residence, from which spectacular views of the city, San Pedro Garza GarcĂ­a, can be enjoyed.

The architectural plan of SMO2 developed in consideration of two existing trees on the terrain. These trees were a guide element that became integral in the design. In the interior, this element allowed the separation of the social spaces from the service spaces, creating a corridor that serves as entrance hall and connector.

As a visual element at the end of the corridor, a large picture window was installed, with full view of the garden area. The window provides a feeling of spaciousness and fills the corridor with natural light during the morning. Since the lot has a short front and long back, the home’s spaces were designed lengthways, with the objective to have garden views from all areas. To accentuate an endless garden effect, mirrors were placed on the end wall of the property.

The Tuxtepec home was designed for a foreign family relocating to the state of Nuevo León. For them, it was fundamental to the project’s design that all the social areas have garden and terrace views.

Wide yet cozy living spaces were incorporated throughout the residence. The client requested that the use of wood be integral in the design. Tzalam wood was selected to cover doors, walls, floors and furniture in the house.

In response to the Contemporary-Mexican requested design, the design used wood beams, steel frames, and quarry stone around windows in order to achieve the look desired by the client.

NILO4 RESIDENCE SAN PEDRO GARCÍA, MÉXICO

The plan for NILO4 was to design a fully functional residential home for a traditional family. The house has over 6025 square feet of living space on two levels. Public, social and utility spaces are located on the ground floor, while private rooms are on the floor above.

From the social areas, one can enjoy a dramatic view highlighted by a garden area. The open air design makes use of interior day lighting and natural ventilation.

Regional and local materials were utilized, including wood and steel. In order to give a classic-modern touch to the residence, black and beige colors were used.

During the definition of the architectural process for MAV5 Residence, the same aspects of MAV4 were considered: public and private spaces, open views, and the importance of a common factor. to maximize the effect of the naturally descending level of the terrain, the design involves a three level house joined by one staircase.

The basement was designed exclusively for social activities; the ground floor provides spaces for family activities and the living spaces are located on the third floor. The residence makes use of different materials, colors and finishes as a way to distinguish the project from the MAV4 Residence, changing the style and focusing on a different market. As a result, beige and brown tones bring a very unique and warm atmosphere that can be enjoyed all over the house.

The MAV4 Residence is located in Nuevo Leon, México. The project, with 5380 square feet, responds to a typical architectural plan without being conventional. Given the nature of a sloping terrain, the proposed design separates the social spaces from the private ones.

Common areas like the entertainment room and terrace are on the lowest level.

For the client, it was very important to maintain the private areas completely separated from the rest of the architectural layout. For this reason, the bedrooms were situated in the third level, away from all the other spaces. A small family room is shared between them.

Along the major parts of the home, the view is oriented directly towards the South. The large windows and terrace within the residence allow for the enjoyment of magnificent views of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains. maximum natural light into the house during the day.
