This high profile role will make a significant contribution to the development of CPD for language teachers regionally. You will develop and manage the programme of activity in the Yorkshire and Humber Region, ensuring that key national and regional priorities are met. You will lead resource and budget planning for the Centre and act as key contact for support of the programme in the region, building Links into Languages links with key organisations and overseeing the work of affiliated local centres.

You must be a proficient linguist, holding a languages degree or equivalent. Awareness of language teaching issues nationally and regionally and project management skills are essential. This role will involve frequent travel within the West Midlands region and occasional travel across the UK. This post is fixed term until the 31 March 2011.
