The Sea Turtle Workshop was held in January during the Tortuguero Group Anniversary event, where 30 children from the community were able to attend and learn during 8 hours of the course about this important species and its conservation.

It was carried out for February 2nd that is celebrated the day of the Wetlands and Birds, an event in the park of the Sea of the Zaragoza colony in coordination with personnel of the marine park where it was given appointment to children of the school local of that colony to learn about the importance of the care of wetlands as rich ecosystems where migratory birds feed and reproduce.

During this month, with the same reason for the month of the Wetlands and Birds, all the schools were invited to participate in the contest that Pronatura Noroeste programmed and that kindly invited us to join us by drawing in different categories both the species of fish, as well as birds and how plastic and pollution affect them irreversibly.

important animals, concluding it with an exhibition that the children held in front of many guests within the framework of the Blue Whale Festival demonstrating what was learned during the course and the awareness gained about the subject.

On March 9th we also visited the school located in the Ligßí Locality, in coordination with the Marine Park, presenting about the Blue Whale and the importance of its conservation.

On March 8, the 30-meter canvas with the image of the Whale was taken to the art boardwalk event where Loretans and Visitors could appreciate the real size of a blue whale. As part of this project, local schools were also visited with the same purpose of the children knowing this information and its relevance.

General outputs created / Avances generales generados: Our workshops and activities always have an academic justification that supports the interest of children and parents. As the following Thematic Fields: 1) The history, geography and / or cultural heritage of the entity; 2) Environmental education for sustainability; 3) Strategies for students to face and overcome problems and situations of risk.

Giving continuity to the learning of primary education, with the purpose of allowing the students to assume themselves as part of the geographical space, value the natural components of the terrestrial surface, biodiversity, the dynamics of the population through the social and cultural components, as well as socioeconomic inequality to strengthen their participation in an informed, reflective and critical manner in face of social problems, the care of the environment, the vulnerability of the population and the quality of life at national and global scales. Field trip in the month of February to recognize the current problems of the Biosphere Reserve of Vizcaino in Guerrero Negro with the principal aim of making an objective comparison between it and ours, to identify environmental services and learn about regulations of Protected Natural Areas.

General outputs created / Avances generales generados: Our teachers, members of the network, through training workshops and field trips have been able to know and appropriate an identity, as well as the value of natural and socioeconomic resources, environmental goods and services of our National Park Loreto Bay. Besides the design of the currĂ­cula and material adapted on the main natural resources of the Natural Protected Area National Park Loreto Bay and Sierra la Giganta )the Mountain range) where they include the description of the diagnosed environmental problems in the municipality and the strategies of conservation that can take to practice with students and parents with the intention of carrying out protective actions on a social scale.

In addition, being the main actors of this project, not just for responsibility, with affection, they have been projecting and increasing the scope of our network, indirectly involving their co-workers in the different institutions where they work.

We have visited schools where there are no active members of the network and has met with managers who are not very interested and indifferent to our invitation.

We have learned that we should look for more appropriate strategies to reach more teachers and add members to our network, because if it is not through their managers, it will be directly using social networks and other media to help us achieve this objective.

Children graduated from the DTN project.

The children graduated from the DTN Workshop attended the seminar and the monthly meetings from July to December 2017 to identify values of natural resources, diagnose environmental problems, design an environmental project and implement it with members of their families and neighbors.

The parents advised and supported the implementation of the environmental project prepared by the CLAL candidates.

Teachers:

Two members of REAL will be evaluating the environmental projects during the exhibition of results to be carried out on June 8, 2018.

Delay in the purchase of vests and badges.

In the community of Loreto it is difficult to find a market to make the purchases of the required products, but solutions have been found in the online market, this means delay in what the available product is and the shipments are made.

There was only one person coordinating the CLAL project with only 5% of time to develop this project.

Nowadays, assistance was contracted for the environmental education program and there is more time to follow up on this project.
