Challenges The Town of Wilkesboro faced difficulties with simply initiating and completing daily tasks. Their software was antiquated and lacked the necessary functionality they needed. Not only was the software outdated, but their customer service was subpar and only furthered their frustrations.

Action Wilkesboro was given the green light by town leadership to search for a new municipal management software provider in 2007. With a thoughtful vetting process established, key stakeholders completed scorecards on vendor capabilities and reference checks. After three different vendors interviewed and presented detailed product demonstrations, the town selected Edmunds’ solutions as their next generation ERP software. Wilkesboro explained that they chose Edmunds based on strong customer service, a history of constant product enhancements, and fair-priced solutions.

Results After partnering with Edmunds in 2007, Wilkesboro’s software dilemma became a thing of the past. Edmunds was able to tailor their products based on the scope and size of Wilkesboro’s organizational needs.
