List of the sounds and chords for the E-Cello Descriptions below are only suggestiv. The cellist should absolutely follow his musicality, and is free to change more the sounds. Only the indications of the pitch shifters, Delays, Reverb, Filters should be followed strictly. 1st movement: A1: pure singing sound (Ondes Martenot) A2: soft intimate sound, like a soft whispering human voice A3: very aggressive sound A4: long soft sounding Pizz (very rich sound, lightly moving) A5: „normal“ E-Cello sound (no effects) 2nd movement B1: very dry and breathy but aggressive sound B2: like A3, but more aggressive B3: light very breathy sound, lighter than B1 B4: a something „funny form“ of B3 B5: like B4, even more „funny“ effect in

3rd movement C1: very close to A4, less soft, some raw elements in C2: long and very aggressive sounding Pizz C3: very close to A5, with reverb

4th movement D1: funk sounding Cello sound - decently... D2: like D1, funk character should be stronger D3: very hard sound, little remembering of D1 D4: long spunding Pizz. with very slow vibrato, based on D1

Chords/Pitch shifter in semi tones Chord 1: pitch shifter: + 4, + 7 Chord 2: pitch shifter: + 3, + 4, + 8, + 11 Chord 3: pitch shifter. + 4, + 11 Chord 4: pitch shifter: + 4, + 6, + 7, + 11

Sounds for the keyboard All Sounds except Brass-sound in movement 4 are E-Piano-sounds. Soft sounds should be very close to sounds used for ex. by Bill Evans in ballads (soft vintage Epianos, with much reverb) Aggressive - und Hard-sounds in 2nd Mvt should have very hard attacks and some distortion. Soft new wave sound: should sound like a soft disco or main stream pop keybord. Some kind of "Kitsch" in the sound is wanted. Use enough reverb. Hard sounds in 4th mvt should specially use hard attacks, but allmost no distortion. The Brass-sound of the 4th mvt should sound like a hot funky synthetic brass sound with "enough" flanger.

Sounds for the keyboard 2 (played by the cembalist) Sound of a mix AA-choir with some very little distortion, reverb and delay. It has to sound from far away, unreal and strange, but recognisable as human voices.
