OVERVIEW
Residential Colleges (RCs) in the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong were established in September 2015 with the generous support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Accommodating
1,200
students,
faculty and staff, the RCs are conveniently located just minutes away from the campus. Double, triple, and quadruple rooms are available at each RC. They are en-suite rooms that equip with a shower,
sink,
toilet,
and
air-
conditioning unit. A loft bed, working desk with chair, and a closet are arranged to each student resident. To ensure a safe and comfortable living environment, security service is available 24/7, complementary to the pastoral care and emergency support provided by live-in faculty and staff.
RESIDENTIAL CO We are the first private university in Hong Kong that adopt a full residential college system.
Four faculty-led Residential Colleges (RCs) were established to nurture well-rounded students in a livingand-learning setting. Our residential Colleges are Mosaic College, S H Ho Wellness College, Patrick S C Poon Amity College, and Evergreen College.
Faculty Engagement 1/3 of our faculty members are pledged to Affiliated Fellowship Scheme, an initiative to engage faculty who are committed to contribute to the RCs. These RC Fellows continuously design informal educational activities to ensure the classroom learning is integrated with external life of our students. They also provide academic advising the pastoral care to our students.
Non-residential Members Students who live off-campus may enjoy social and academic benefits by joining the Non-residential Membership Scheme. They are eligible to participate in RC events to interact with student residents, faculty members and other RC members. The scheme encourages intellectual and social interaction among the RC community, and create synergy within the students.

LLEGE SYSTEM Academic Life Each RC incorporates their theme into Common Core Curriculum of the University. These modules are taught by either the Masters, Associate Masters, or the RC Fellows. Having the priority to enroll in these modules, student residents get to understand the respective RC theme in depth and be able to make connections between ‘living’ and ‘learning’. In 2019/20, 4 RC-themed modules that enlighten students on ethical reasoning on global issues (Mosaic College), exploring stress scientifically and its management (S H Ho Wellness College), developing innovative approach in service learning (Patrick S C Poon Amity College), and understand the impacts of plants upon civilization (Evergreen College).

STUDENT LEADERSHIP Residential Student Leaders Residents' Association
There are two student leadership teams that support the residential life of the RCs:
Each RC establish their Residents’ Association (RA) through student election. The RA work with the College personnel to organize social and recreational activities for their community. They partner with the College personnel to foster a positive living community.
As a scholarship recipient, Residential Student Leader (RSL) serves our student residents by exemplifying the values of the RCs. They facilitate the orientation of new student residents, cultivate positive relationship among the RCs, mentor junior students, as well as promote RC education programmes.
