o Glide/ceramic toaster by
George Watson There has been little development of the toaster since the start of the twentieth century; whilst other appliances have developed and improved, incorporating new technologies and thinking, the toaster has remained relatively untouched. When it was ďŹ rst invented eating toast was a social activity that took place at the breakfast table; these days toasters have been relegated to cheap plastic objects hidden away in the kitchen. George Watson’s Glide/ceramic toaster is designed to engage the user and reinvigorate the social context of breakfast.
