Three large shells created by the architect Renzo Piano in 2002 and placed in the Villa Glori park in Rome. A complex of more than 90,000 square metres that injected life into the city’s cultural sphere and soon became a point of reference at international level not only for music. The Auditorium Parco della Musica is one of the largest multifunctional space in Europe and in the world. A space suspended between past, present and future, with the remains of a sixth century BC Roman villa and its museum that are the crown-jewels of the complex. Today, it is the absolute star of the contemporary music scene thanks to its flexibility. It is an ideal location for all types of events, as confirmed by the high numbers of participants registered since its opening. In 2010, about 1,000 events were organised for over a million spectators, and over these last nine years the Auditorium has established itself as the top European cultural structure for the number of events held there, second in the world only to the

Not just music
Lincoln Center in New York. The main areas of the complex are the four concert halls, which can accommodate a minimum of 308 people to over 2,700, all four equipped with control booths and sound systems. There are also three 160-square-metre rehearsal rooms and a large auditorium, as well as a large exhibition area with 3,000 square metres of floor space over two levels. The Auditorium also has other smaller spaces that can host 20 to 200 people, dressing rooms for artists and large outdoor areas, such as the roof garden and a 1,200-square-metre pedestrian
