Dream, Believe, Achieve.

Newsletter 25 9th April 2018 Dear Mums, Dads & Carers, Welcome back – I hope you are all feeling refreshed after the Easter break. We have a busy term ahead of us and we are in the midst of compiling a calendar of events which will be available on the school website next week. Clubs Just a reminder that there are no after school clubs this week. Your child should have already brought home a letter with details of clubs running this term. If your child would like to take part in any of the clubs please return the reply slip immediately. You will be advised by the teacher running the club if your child has a place. All clubs will start next week (week beginning 16th April). Garden of Tranquility Over the Easter period we have had further work done in the Garden of Tranquility, thanks to the funding from the Tesco Community grant. We are looking forward to the finer weather so that we can fully appreciate the seating areas that have been created there. Bags of Help Just before the half term holiday your child brought home details of a fundraising event ‘Bags of Help’. Quite simply – you fill the bag with good condition unwanted clean clothing, paired shoes, hats, handbags & accessories, costume jewellery, soft toys and dvds and this in return will raise money for Meningitis Now, Bibic and our school – the more you collect the more money you raise! Please bring all donated bags into school on Wednesday 18 th April at the start of the school day.

Start of the school day Please may I remind everyone that DASH starts at 8am, whereby the children will be doing an activity with the sports coach either on the playground or in the hall. The side and back entrance gates will be unlocked at 8 o’clock and until such time any younger children arriving early will need to be supervised by their parent/carer. Those children not attending DASH club may arrive from 8.30am when the playground is supervised by a member of staff. All children need to be on the playground at 8.40 am ready to line up when the bell sounds. School starts with registration at 8.45 am and lessons get underway following on from that. Children arriving late not only miss out on valuable ‘learning’ time but they cause disruption to the rest of the class.

Best wishes

Steve Gumm
