JOEANG 45 BUILDING Joang '45 Building or 45 Joang Museum is one of the museums in Jakarta. Currently, the management carried out by the Culture and Tourism Office of Jakarta Province. The museum is located at Jalan Menteng 31, Kebon Sirih, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The museum was opened in 1974 by President Soeharto, after being renovated. The building was built in about 1920 which is currently used as a museum Joang 45 in the beginning is a family-run hotel "LC Schomper ", a Dutch national who has long lived in Batavia. The hotel is named Schomper, same as the owner's name. The hotel at that time, includes a pretty good and famous hotel in the suburbs of South Batavia, with a main building that stands in the middle and flanked by a row of building lodging rooms on the left and right for a overnight guests.

BUILDING HISTORY CHAMBER The location of the "Building History Chamber" was right at the forefront of the building, so that information about the history of the building is also displayed at the very beginning. This room also gives an explanation history of the youth movement of that time named "Menteng 31", a movement that has an important role when “Soekarno kidnapping� incident happened one day before independence day. Also there are various kinds of information about the history of the building at the time.

DESIGN CONCEPT REMINDING THE FUNCTION OF THIS BUILDING IN THAT ERA. WE MAKE DARK COLOR TO MAKE AMBIENCE OF THE CONDITION OF THAT ERA. WE ALSO SHOW BIG MONITOR TO MAKE THE VISITORS FELL LIKE IN CINEMA. THERE’S OLD THING LIKE OLD TELEPHON TO MAKE THE AMBIENCE STRONGER. PLAN BUILDING HISTORY’S ROOM

WE USE DARK COLOR (DARK RED) BEHIND THE MONITOR TO MAKE IT STAND OUT ON IT SIDE AND USE LIGHT COLOR (BRIGHT WHITE) TO MAKE THE ARTICLE STAND OUT BECAUSE THE ARTIKEL AND FRAME MADE BY WOOD THAT HAVE LIGHT COLOR (YELLOW BROWN).

WE USE WOOD PARTITION TO DIRECT THE VISITORS TO ENTER THE BUILDING HISTORY’S CHAMBER FIRST BEFORE GO TO ANOTHER CHAMBER. THERE’RE 4 PHOTOS ABOUT THIS BUILDING ON THE PARTITION AS INTRODUCTION TO THE CHAMBER.
