Laura Johnson Eben was born in Scammon Bay, a small village along the Western coast of Alaska. Her adoptive dad was a lay pastor for the Covenant Church. She attended Covenant High School then went on to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. Her husband, Vince, is an Interim Pastor for the Golovin Covenant Church until January 2019. Laura feels she is still walking this earth due to the immeasurable Love of God, who protected her through many years of alcoholism. Her times of sharing with the public have included sharing the sad incidences of child molestation, sexual abuse and rape and God’s redemptive work. Her precious walk with Jesus is what gives her joy as she strives to share this Love with others, while she is still on this earth. Laura will introduce us to the AVA 907 ministry on Saturday and be our speaker for Sunday morning worship.

Karen Palmberg lives in Turlock, California and has served as a Financial Services Representative to Covenant Village of Turlock and northern California since 2013. She loves spending time with her son and daughter and their families, baking, singing, and keeping all the Scandinavian traditions she remembers growing up. Karen will lead a “Women and Finance” workshop on Saturday afternoon and will be available for individual appointments around estate planning topics.
