2015 High Achievers at Academic Awards Ceremony …

On 16 February, Year 12 graduates from 2015 returned to the College for the annual Academic Awards Ceremony.

Star’s Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) results for 2015 were excellent: 15% of students obtained an ATAR ranking greater than 90, and 33.5% scored between 80.00 and 89.95%. Laura Tucker, Dux of the College in 2015, achieved an ATAR of 98.15. She addressed the assembly, providing practical advice to students in each year level about making the most of their time at Star and ensuring a good academic outcome in Year 12.

We also announced the recipients of bursaries awarded to students who have demonstrated excellence in a variety of fields:

Almeida Russell Poetry Award Sienna Fernando (Year 9)

Dux Laura Tucker Marta Pearson, Kate Tripaydonis & Kathy Smith at the Premier's Awards

Kate Tripaydonis attained a perfect score of 50 in Product Design & Technology (Textiles). Kate also received a Premier’s Award for her outstanding efforts.
