Inside this issue: What’s in your wallet? These days, it may not be much. The past few years have been one of the most challenging and unusual economic climates we have ever experienced. Maybe you are still experiencing it! If you’re upside down on your mortgage, deeply in debt, struggling to make ends meet, or just concerned with managing your money well, this is a five week series beginning next Sunday that you won’t want to miss.

Student Ministries The Youth Group will be attending the Newsboys Concert on Friday, April 26, at the Dow Event Center. Everyone is invited to join us! If we have 20 people, the tickets will be cheaper. Please talk to Shirley Reid or Pastor Richard to get your name on the ticket list. Order Deadline is Tuesday, April 9.

Youth Group Meets Every Tuesday Night! The Youth Group meets every Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00. come join the fun— group games and Bible adventures, and sometimes food!

Adult Membership Class Saturday, April 20 Are you wondering what it takes to be a member of EBCC? The first step is a membership class. Some of the topics covered in the class include: what does it mean to be a Christian, why is it important to be baptized, and what does it mean to be a member. You will also learn about what makes EBCC a family, who we are wanting to reach, what our mission statement is, and what we are seeking to become. This class is open to anyone interested in membership, as well as those who just want to know more about EBCC. The next membership class will be on Saturday, April 20 beginning at 9:00 am and ending around 2:00 pm. Talk to Pastor Richard or mark you Welcome Card if you are interested so that we can have enough materials prepared for everyone. Page 2

Men’s Group Meets April 6 & 27 Come join the men’s group that meets for Bible study, prayer, and accountability. We are currently studying Not A Fan, by Kyle Idleman. The group typically meets on the second and fourth Saturdays for an 8:00 am breakfast at Krzysiak House Restaurant, but this month we will be meeting on the 6th and the 27th.

Ladies Night

A Chocolate Frenzy Tuesday, April 16 - 6:00 PM The ladies of EBCC will be sponsoring a baby shower to benefit the Beacon of Hope

Pregnancy Care Center.

We will meet in the Church Lounge Tuesday April 16 at 6:00 pm to enjoy Chocolate, more Chocolate; plus share recipes for creations with chocolate. Contact Peg Brunner if you wish to bring a dessert. Lets not forget to bring a baby gift and join in an evening of fun and warmth, and mmm, CHOCOLATE. Please mark the welcome card if you are attending.

J.O.Y. Group Lunch, April 17 This month the J.O.Y. group will be having lunch at OLD COUNTRY BUFFET located on Bay Road in Saginaw. After lunch, we will visit the Family Christian book store. The van will depart from church at 11:30 a.m. Be sure to mark your worship welcome card if you plan to attend.

Graduate Recognition Sunday, May 19 We would like to recognize any high school or college graduates on Sunday, May 20. Please contact the church office by May 13 with the names of any graduates. This will be a special time to recognize the achievements of each graduate, and present them with gifts from the church on May 19 during our regular worship service.

Communion Sunday Is Food Pantry Sunday The first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday. Bring in specific food items to help stock the food pantry. This month we are looking for the following items: Soups, Chili or Stews, Peanut Butter, and Hot Chocolate mix. Paper products and toothpaste are always welcome. Items can be left in the designated containers at each entrance of Church. Page 5

Where Kids Stand Strong for God

Sunday, July 14—Thursday, July 18 will be the dates for this royal time for children 3 years old through fifth grade (finished this year). Each evening will begin at 6:00 pm, and end at 8:30 pm. Volunteers will be asked to arrive earlier to prep their areas. Information and volunteer signups for all areas will begin this Month. Watch for the special insert in the Sunday bulletins, or talk to Sheila or Shirley Reid.
