Mission: To be a resource for the senior pastor and the various areas of ministry involved in the management, care and supervision of church employees

Accomplishments in 2019:

• Hosted the staff appreciation luncheon in May including all staff • Reviewed and approve renewals of insurance & benefits for 2020 for staff • Worked with the search committee to identify a Special Needs Coordinator • Worked with CLC Committee in making the CLC Director a full-time position for 2020 • Assisted with the hiring of Carol Byrd as Interim Parish Associate • Conducted evaluations for all staff including Eastminster Day School employees • Approved Eastminster’s 2020 Personnel Budget • Provided feedback, support & guidance to personnel matters as needed • Recommended the formation of two associate pastor search committees, developed the descriptions of the responsibilities of such pastors, and reported the recommendations to the Session and to the congregation • Supported two Associate Pastor Nominating Committees in the search for two new pastors. • Assisted the new Senior Associate Pastor transition to the EPC pastoral staff, beginning work in

December 2019 • Recommended changes in terms of call of pastoral staff to the congregation for approval

Goals for 2020:

• Plan the Staff Appreciation Luncheon in May 2020 and provide a Christmas Luncheon in December 2020 • Conduct Evaluations for all Staff • Assist with filling staff vacancies and otherwise support EPC staff including: new administrative assistant to assist new Senior Associate Pastor and others; new Director of Facilities, new CLC director and new part time CLC program director • Assist the Senior Pastor in communication to the congregation of the new organization of staff (this might consist of an interview of Brad Smith by Blythe Lewis) • Continue to review and refine the compensation study to provide a guide for salary management • Plan & prepare for a job succession plan for key personnel -Business Manager, Director of Facilities and

EDS Director to name a few • Provide support and assistance to our employees for personal growth and development as it relates to their jobs within the EPC organization • Provide feedback, support & guidance to Personnel matters as needed • Support the associate pastor search committee for a new Senior High Associate Pastor and, when called, assist such associate pastor in transitioning in to the pastoral staff
