Accomplishments in 2019:

• Conducted 2018 Audit with new audit firm of Capin Crouse • Improve the external reporting of the financial position of the church • Continued to reduce the amount of principal balances of debt • Assisted Eastminster Day School with gaining approval for funding the renovation of the younger playground • Coordinated the development of 2020 church budget • Guidance was provided by Endowment Committee to other committees responsible for using endowed funds in regards to spending rate for 2019 • Continue to monitor the Eastminster Day School budget and provide assistance with challenges • Review and refine reserve calculations in an effort to establish guidelines for the reserve • Conducted an Audit of the Plant facilities to evaluate future needs and to plan for those expenditures • Analysis of the current donors giving the last two years provided by Bill Francis
Goals for 2020:
• Conduct 2019 Audit • Continue to reduce debt from the purchase of the Carolina Children’s Home lot • Coordinate the development of 2021 church budget • Establish guidelines for the reserve • Investigate a digital/credit card collection system for younger members who prefer to use their credit cards to checks/cash. Dip Jar and Venmo are two suggested vendors to look into. Could be missing donation opportunities without a system. • Look at he formation of an Audit Sub-committee to work with the auditor • Conduct another Wills University and build on the first one from 2018
