LET’S FACE IT, no matter your age everyone enjoys a day at the zoo. Whether you’ve got toddlers or teenagers to entertain this summer take a look at our picks for all things wild. Banham Zoo in Norfolk has enough weird and wonderful creatures to keep you busy for a week. There are more than 2,000 animals in this 50acre park as well as a safari train, adventure playground and regular talks and displays. Throughout August the zoo will focus on ‘Groovy Hooves’ with tailor-made activities celebrating hoofed animals. Adults from £11.75, child from £8.10.
There’s no need for an expensive holiday to Africa, you can experience it on your doorstep with Africa Alive (adults £11.75, child £8.10). From addax to zebras, congo sheep to Somali wild ass, you’ll need a full day to navigate your Suffolk safari. Throughout August the park invites visitors to decide who is the king of the carnivores with its new activity trail, special feeding talks and hands-on activities.
