Welcome to Explore Eastern!

During this build-your-own schedule day, you’ll be able to hear from and connect with faculty, staff, and students from across EMU’s campus. Review the schedule on the next page, and pick and choose the sessions most interesting to you!

During the Event

RESOURCE FAIR

Location: Student Center, 2nd Floor | Time: 11:30 am — 1:30 pm

Have questions about a specific program? Want to learn more about our support resources? Say hi to representatives from Academic Programs Abroad, Student Government, Undergraduate Symposium, and more. You may even chat with a future professor!

APPLICATION STATION

Location: Student Center, Room 204 | Time: 9:30 am — 2:00 pm

If you are ready to apply today, stop in and fill out your application. Attending students will have access to our undergraduate application and, as a thank you, we will waive your $35 application fee.

QUESTIONS AND DOCUMENT DROP-OFF

Location: Admissions Welcome Center, 2nd Floor, Room 220

Time: 9:30 am — 2:00 pm

If you have any questions throughout the day, stop by our Welcome Center or the Ask an Eagle table just outside the office for assistance! We’ll also have Admissions Advisors available if you want to learn more about your next steps toward enrollment.

5-POINT CAMPUS TOUR

5-Point Campus Tour Departure Times: 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30

Experience EMU’s campus through the eyes of our current students with a guided walking tour! Our 5-stop tours are designed to showcase key highlights, giving you a feel for life at EMU in just 45-60 minutes, depending on group size. The 5 Stops include: Student Center, Halle Library, Rec/IM, an academic building, and a housing option!

If you’re interested in previewing a meal on campus, enjoy a lunch at The Commons! Stop by the Ask an Eagle table to pick up your voucher. Attend at your own pace, you can follow the signs on campus, use the map available, or find an EMU student to help!

FIRST-YEAR ADMISSIONS & SCHOLARSHIPS

Times: 10:00 and 11:30 am

Join this session to learn about our admissions process and review any firstyear scholarships available. This presentation will be a combined session with our Office of Admissions and Financial Aid Office. This is the best session to learn about your next steps.

TRANSFER ADMISSIONS & SCHOLARSHIPS

Times: 10:00 and 11:30 am

If you’re thinking about transferring to EMU, this session is tailored for you! Join our knowledgeable admissions staff to gain valuable insights into the transfer application process, how your college credits will transfer, and our articulation agreements. EMU is proud to be transfer-friendly, welcoming over 1,000 transfer students to our campus each year. Discover how we can help make your transition smooth and successful.

HONORS COLLEGE: SOAR HIGHER

Times: 10:00 and 11:30 am

Have you considered joining our EMU Honors College? Learn how we can help you soar higher. The Honors College provides opportunities for growth and advancement for all students and is an excellent place to develop and foster your research skills. The importance of research is taking hold at the undergraduate level because it helps successfully prepare you for graduate school and professional work.

In this session, you’ll learn about the wide range of academic support services available, including our Holman Success Center and TRIO Student Support Services, designed to ensure students excel in their studies. We’ll also introduce resources from our Career Services team, who help students transition from the classroom to their careers. This session is perfect for future students and families looking to explore how EMU supports academic success and career readiness across all programs.

Whether you are living on campus, or just attending classes - it’s important to make sure you’re fueling your whole self. Hear from our dedicated dining folks about the dining options on campus, learn about dining accommodations and options, and decide which meal option is best for your needs!

STUDENT LIFE ON CAMPUS

Discover what makes EMU a vibrant, diverse community directly from the students who call it home. In this interactive, panel-style session, current EMU students will share their personal experiences, including why they chose EMU and what life on campus is really like. Bring your questions— this is your chance to hear authentic perspectives and get answers about student life, academics, and everything in between!

SWOOP IN: THE ALUMNI EXPERIENCE

Time: 1:30 pm

Calling all Eagles! Whether you are a current or future graduate, the alumni experience is a lifetime journey that begins when you step foot on campus! Join the alumni engagement team and the Alumni Association Board for a VIP social and information session to learn about opportunities to enrich your university experience. Uncover current programs like the Alumni Legacy Scholarship to support your academic journey and various student engagement opportunities, events, and benefits that will help you stay connected while making the most of your EMU alumni and student status.
