EKU is known for punching above our academic weight class, providing unique and in-demand programs and the type of practical, hands-on education you might not expect from a regional university. Whether your students know what they want to study or still have no clue, EKU will help them find their passion and build their confidence. Here are a sample of our premier programs:

NURSING Learn on state-of-the-art simulators from doctorally trained nurses, all of whom have worked in the medical field. (Many of them still do!)

COMPUTER SCIENCE Degree options include a concentration in interactive multimedia, a.k.a. video game design. EKU is home to the first bachelor’s degree focusing on game design in the state.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE When you think of criminal justice programs in Kentucky, you think of EKU. This is where students come to learn everything they need to know to protect their community and investigate crimes. For a full list of programs, read on or visit go.eku.edu/programs.

TIME TO GET WITH THE

TIME TO ENCOURAGE SELFLESSNESS Eastern graduates are corporate executives with some of the world’s biggest brands and NASA engineers helping chart human space colonization. Just as importantly, they are the people who raise and protect us right here in Kentucky. They are teachers, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, social workers, nurses and much more, making a difference in some of the country’s most vulnerable communities. EKU grads choose how big they want their world to be.

#1 IN KENTUCKY EMPLOYMENT 75% of EKU degree holders are employed in Kentucky a year after graduation, the state’s highest percentage among all public 4-year institutions. At all degree levels, our graduates have the highest Kentucky employment rates at 3 and 5 years post-graduation. *Kentucky Center for Education & Workforce Statistics 2018 Postsecondary Feedback Report

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Eastern Kentucky University is committed to making our academic programs accessible for all students. We chose not to raise tuition this year, and we granted more than $36 million in scholarships and fellowships to deserving students in 2017-2018. Nearly 40 percent of our entire undergraduate population qualify for some award amount. EKU merit scholarships are automatically awarded to students based on their academic performance — no additional application needed — with four-year awards ranging from $8,000 to $64,000. Priority is given to students who have applied to EKU by February 1. After February 1, the Scholarship Office will make awards until funds are exhausted, so qualified students are urged to apply early. To estimate how much they could receive, refer students to go.eku.edu/estimator. For more about financial aid opportunities, please visit go.eku.edu/aid.
