Glenbuck Loch Saturday 15th September 9am £27 (non SAF members), £25 (SAF members) The RAW Challenge makes up the final event of the Scottish Ultra Marathon Series. The race to complete this challenge starts at Glenbuck Loch, outside Muirkirk at 9am and follows 41 miles of the River Ayr Way to Dam Park in Ayr. The route goes through some of the most spectacular countryside in South West Scotland with moorland and open hills, deep sandstone gorges and beautiful woodland corridors. Transport to the start of the race is provided from Ayr, Kilmarnock, Cumnock and Mauchline and this can be booked with your race application. The record for this race is just over 5 hours – do you think you can beat this?? Annick Valley Outdoor Festival

Various Friday 31st August – Sunday 2nd September Free This Outdoor Festival builds on 2 successful years of the Kilmaurs Walking Festival and now includes a series of events in Stewarton, Dunlop and Lugton, covering the whole of the Annick Valley. The festival kicks off on the Friday night with a ceilidh in Kilmaurs Masonic Hall. Over the weekend, there will be a range of outdoor activities to take part in.
