The Citizens Theatre is firmly rooted in its local community, working regularly with local groups. Our Citizens Learning team is committed to enhancing the lives of all kinds and ages of people in Glasgow and beyond; producing theatre for children and young people, community productions and delivering a pioneering range of creative participatory projects for varied communities and in the education sector. Ben Harrison is Co-Artistic Director of Scottish theatre company Grid Iron. He also works all over the world as a freelance director. Recent work includes his first opera Bolted for Sound Festival Aberdeen, The Authorised Kate Bane for Grid Iron, Biding Time (Remix) for Tromolo Productions/ A Band Called Quinn and Hadda and Hassan Lekliches! for Oran Mor/NTS. The Tailor of Inverness which he directed for Dogstar in 2008 has just completed its sixth tour in Spring 2013 to Sweden, Denmark, Ireland and Wales. His production of Peter Pan for 360 Entertainment toured the US for two years from 2010, visiting San Francisco, Costa Mesa, Atlanta, Chicago and Boston.
