ABOUT US:

Ealing Trailfinders is an ambitious and progressive, rugby union Club based in WestLondon. The men’s side compete in the RFU Championship Leagu e and the Women are in the Allianz Premiership Womens Rugby.

The Trailfinders Rugby Academy at Brunel University is fully committed to discovering and developing some of the most promising talent in English rugby and providing a pathway to professional rugby. Playing in BUCS Southern Premier 1, we are an ambitious team winning the league and cup last year. We are known for playing a fast and attacking style of rugby on our 3G pitch, and our players are developed and trained to play the Ealing Trailfinders way.

This is an opportunity to join Trailfinders during a very exciting period of the Club’s history.

THE ROLE

The position will suit students currently enrolled on a degree course, or recent graduates looking to gain experience post study.

The main purpose of the placement is to develop and up -skill the placement student by exposing them to the role of an analyst in a professional rugby environment.

The person would ideally be committed to pursuing or interested in exploring a career within professional sport to join us for the 2024/25 season.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mac Operating Systems

• Use of Analysis Software – Sportscode, Excel & Nacsport

• Filming and production of video footage

• Coding and detailed analysis of video footage – both training and match day

• Use of different feedback resources

• Different roles within the PA department and how the team function together

• Promote, maintain and uphold the standards within the club

• Weekly 1-2-1 meeting with senior performance analysis staff

• Learning and development opportunities throughout the club, including projects aiming to develop performance analysis knowledge and delivery of data analysis.

• Multiple roles available across men’s and academy team

THE PERSON DESIRABLE

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLSET

• A degree in Sports Performance Analysis / Sports Science / Sports Coaching or related degree is desirable but to necessary.

• A proactive and innovative approach

• Good organisational skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office

• Good punctuality and timekeeping
