Together we can prevent diabetes!
YELLOW When your child comes home hungry, have colorful fruits and veggies ready to eat. Each color has gifts that help the whole body stay healthy and strong. To get the most health benefits, try dark and brightly colored fruits and veggies. At the end of the day, help your child fill in this chart. Write in the fruits and veggies that your child ate by each color. Then, take a look at it together and talk about the fruits and veggies your child would like to try. Remember to challenge your family to fill half of their plate full of colorful fruits and veggies to help prevent diabetes.
