ในปีทผี่ า่ นมา สมาชิกสมาคมได้รบั ทราบแล้วว่า นโยบายของรัฐบาล ได้เน้นหนักในการส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว และได้ส่งเสริม ให้เกิดแหล่งท่องเที่ยวชุมชน เพื่อส่งเสริมให้วิสาหกิจชุมชนได้เจริญ เติบโต เป็นการกระจายรายได้ลงสู่ท้องถิ่นโดยเฉพาะในเมืองรอง ต่าง ๆ
ถึงแม้ในอุตสาหกรรมท่องเทีย่ วจะมีการหยุดชะงักไปบ้างเนือ่ งจาก มีเหตุการณ์เรือล่มทีจ่ งั หวัดภูเก็ต นักท่องเทีย่ วถูกท�ำร้ายโดยเจ้าหน้าที่ ของรัฐทีท่ า่ อากาศยานนานาชาติดอนเมือง ท�ำให้นกั ท่องเทีย่ วลดลง และมีความเสียหายเกีย่ วกับชือ่ เสียงไปบ้าง แต่รฐั บาลและผูป้ ระกอบ การท่องเทีย่ วก็ได้รว่ มมือกันแก้ไขวิกฤตให้ผา่ นไปได้ดว้ ยความรวดเร็ว ก็ถือได้ว่าปีที่ผ่านมาก็ยังเป็นปีทองอีกปีหนึ่ง ด้วยความร่วมมือกันของทุกภาคส่วนในอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว ท�ำให้เราผ่านพ้นอุปสรรคไปได้ด้วยดี ในบทบาทสมาคมโรงแรมไทย คณะกรรมการบริหารทุกคน ขอขอบคุณในความร่วมมือ และยืนยัน กับสมาชิกทุกท่านว่าจะตัง้ ใจท�ำงานเพือ่ เสริมสร้างความเจริญรุง่ เรือง ให้กับอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวตลอดไป
In addition to the promotion for hotel industry, THA closely joined hands with government to push forward the amendment on ministerial regulation for hotels that have not yet obtained hotel operation license since there were some legal obstacles that gave alleviation for the certain number of hotels to obtain such license. Thus, THA shall look after and help those business entrepreneurs who still have some problems, to eventually get over those chronic problems, but for those who intentionally break the law, it shall be the responsibility of competent official to further take legal action against them. Although tourism industry might face some derailments last year deriving from the cruise ship sinking incident in Phuket, and assaulted visitor by government official at Don Mueang International Airport, which caused the significant reduction for tourist volume, and destroyed the country’s reputation, government and tourism entrepreneurs came together and quickly fix all these crisis well. However, the previous year was still considered as another golden year for Thai tourism industry. With good collaboration from all stakeholders in tourism industry, we could pass by all obstacles very well, and on behalf of THA, all executive committees appreciate the great collaboration from all stakeholders, and ensure our members that THA shall strive to drive tourism industry to prosperity for good.

ในด้านการส่งเสริมธุรกิจโรงแรม สมาคมโรงแรมไทยก็ได้ร่วมมือ กับรัฐบาลอย่างใกล้ชิดในการผลักดันให้มีการแก้ไขกฎกระทรวง เพื่อ โรงแรมทีย่ งั ไม่มใี บอนุญาตประกอบธุรกิจโรงแรม เนือ่ งจากติดขัดด้าน กฎหมายบางประการให้สามารถผ่อนปรนให้มีสิทธิ์ได้รับใบอนุญาต ได้จ�ำนวนหนึ่ง ซึ่งก็ต้องช่วยเหลือดูแลให้ผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจที่ยัง มีปัญหาอยู่ให้สามารถผ่านพ้นปัญหาให้ได้ ส่วนผู้ที่เจตนาจะท�ำผิด กฎหมายก็เป็นหน้าที่ของพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ท่ีต้องด�ำเนินการตาม กฎหมายต่อไป
Last year, the members of Thai Hotels Association (THA) had acknowledged that the government’s policy had heavily made some efforts to promote tourism industry and support the initiation of community tourist attractions with the aim to grow the community enterprises as well as directly disseminate revenues to local communities especially in those secondary cities.
