In part 2 of this series of articles on how to use the micro niche finder, I talked about how to get started using the the micro niche finder tool. I explained some of the terms you can use when doing a search. I explained what a base keyword phrase is and also defined some other terminology used with this program. In this article I am going to continue explaining some of the features and benefits of this tool. Ok... One of my favorite features about the micro niche finder tool is SOC (Strength of competition) Soc is an estimate of how strong the existing competition is for a given keyword phrase. Use soc in conjunction with the exact phrase count to determine how hard it will be to penetrate a niche market. If you click on the strength of competition column header, the micro niche finder will sort the results in ascending order by Strength of competition. Clicking the strength of competition column header a second time will sort the results in descending order by strength of competition. In addition to the strength of competition index there is also an indicator which changes color based on the index. A Red light means that the would be a hard market to get a foot hold in Google. An amber light indicates a moderately easy market to rank in Google. Finally, a green light should be relatively easy to rank for this term in Google. If you click on the soc index (Just after it has been calculated) it will bring up a small window screen. The screen provides additional competitive intelligence information that tells if the competitors are using the most basic search engine optimization techniques. An inanchor count is the number of webpages with backlinks containing the keyword phrase. Intitle count is the number of webpages with the keyword phrase in the webpage title tag and finally inurl count is the number of webpage that have a keyword phrase in the url of the webpage. These pieces of information are very useful for finding out more about your competitors. It is also worth knowing that keyword phrases that have a very low inanchor, intitle and inurl counts should be seriously considered! Some of the tabs on the micro niche finder are useful whilst researching your niche market. The Refresh from the web button automatically saves your past searches and results in its search history. The next time you enter a previously saved search, micro niche finder pulls in the data from its database instead of accessing the data from the various sources on the internet. However you can override this by clicking the refresh from the web button which will force micro niche finder to update the results from the internet. Coming up in part 4 in this series of how to use the micro niche finder, I will continue
