Houses are built Under Stará Hora in the village Sobotovice. There arise four variants of house. The construction system is same for all of them. The ground floor is lined with bricks with reinforced concrete ceiling, the second floor is lined with brick till windows parapets. The entire two-storey house is finished with shed roof. The houses have also several modification because of clients wishes.

Mendl square in the Brno

Our parcel where we had to design the multifunctional building is situated in the oldest area in Brno. This area is called Old Brno and was originated in the 10th century. The main square in this area is called Mendel square after Gregor Johann Mendel (scientist and Augustinian friar who gained posthumous fame as the founder of the new science of genetics). The biggest dominant in the are is Augustinian Abbey of St Thomas and it´s Basilica

of the Assumption. There were together three monasteries. Today are two of them changed to hospitals. Urban design is based on the regulation plan of the city Brno. Regulation plan change the busy streets to quite streets. On the Mendel square are build new buildings. I´m working with design of Mendel square from last semester, where I created public spaces of the transport character. My solution of parcel lies on the

completion of block with a single unit. I extend parcel to the surrounding parcels. Owner of surrounding parcels is always city Brno. So in the end it affects only on land owned by the city. Price of the land is expensive that is why I use as much plot as possible. I respect all courtyards and blocks. The multifunctional building that I design close the block but also determines the new entrances to the garden of the block.

This house is designed for family of four. Its plot is located in steep terrain in a New Lískovec. Form of the house is derivedfrom the shape of the terrain and functionality. House is designed like a low-energy. There is length terrace along southern part of the house having three levels. The northern part is closed to protect against wind and cold northern weather. Construction of the house is a wooden frame with columns 160x160 mm and it´s lined with oak wood.

The architectural design is strongly affected by urban design. Important part of the house are passages to the other courtyards. Some of the passages are closed, but you can read their character. Inner court shines between the staircase. The whole house I tried to close so much so is possible. I respect surrounding houses and try to give to the proposal same weight and strength. There is used white plaster on the façade, which help better illuminate the garden and existing buildings. On the roof there is a roof garden overlooking to the castle Spilberk. Details of the

Revitalization of the Flower garden

14

Revitalization of the Flower garden from 17. century in Kromeriz, that is in the list of world heritage UNESCO.

The Flower Garden (once called „the Orchard of Delights“) became a part of the reconstruction of the town, which had been destroyed by the Thirty Years‘ War. The garden was built by Italian architects, Filibert Luches and Giovanni Pietro Tencalla. It was located behind the town fortification walls on infertile soil for the delight of all art-loving visitors. An Italian garden with paths surrounded by high bushes was built on the area of 10 hectares. There is a 244 metre long gallery with sculptures of ancient gods and other mythic and historic figures. In the geometrical centre of the garden, there is a Rotunda, its decoration glorifies the water element and the art of stuccoers, sculptors and fresco makers. A new entrance was built in the first half of the 19th century, it forms a court of honour in the Classicist style, which is closed in by two big greenhouses (Rough Greenhouse and Tropical Greenhouse) with an exceptionally valuable collection of tropical and subtropical flora. The garden is used for exhibitions, concerts, celebrations and, above all, for walks of residents and visitors.

everything is for public. Every building is designed like a part of garden. The forms for the buildings are taken from the garden. Old entrance is important for characteristic axis of the garden, but it is not most iportant part. The walls of the garden lies the secret of that. Paradise hidden from the world. And the same is used in the garden with hornbeam walls. Axes are important for it´s infinity that continues with false door. I continue with creating a new axis inserting new greenhouses. This perception is increased by reflection in greenhouses. The gre-

Revitalization of the Flower garden

The problem of the garden is in the complicated connection with the center of the town Kromeriz, bad definition of entrance and terrific state of garden. The subject was to add some facilities/gallery, bookshop, cafe, small auditorium/ into two parts, which are around court of honour (foreland). I determinated the foreland to two parts - technical and cultural. But the visitors could come in to the technical part too, because this part was create by the hothouses with technical and decorative function. So in the end

Centre for autistic children s in village Black. This subject was formed with idea to get the donation for a reconstruction farm of Pacal´s family. Farm is change to the centre for autistic children. We made proposal for reconstruction of three buildings and designed two new buildings. At first we were inspirited by the shape landscape and terrain modelling. Dominant element in the village is mill pond. The village Cerna is built around a pond. We tried to keep our proposal as natural as possible. We find the most important points of the village and keep them. Convenient location allows beautiful panoramic views over the village. We reconstructed the old building and insert new clean forms with new functions. Like are art therapy, music therapy,

canistherapy, dining room, kitchen, accommodation for visitors, massage centre and snoozyland. We made reconstruction of Pacal´s family house and created one a single housing unit more. We designed two new buildings too. to accommodate guests with a pool and second for riding-school.

Scenography design for play Cherry orchad by Antoni Czechov

Cherry orchad,

2009, Scenography design for play Cherry orchad by Antoni Czechov.

Team : Zuzanna Bluszcz The Cherry Orchard is Russian playwright Anton Chekhov’s last play. It premièred at the Moscow Art Theatre 17 January 1904 in a production directed by Constantin Stanislavski. The play concerns an aristocratic Russian woman and her family as they return to the family’s estate (which includes a large and well-known cherry orchard) just before it is auctioned to pay the mortgage. The idea 01 The impression of being inside the house will be created in a very simple way. Like in ”Dogville” the print on the floor will suggest the interior design. Print will also be visible under the furniture. For example in act one table with chairs, armchairs and all necessary object will be on stage. In the last act (which is in the same room) there will be no furniture - only the print on the floor. That will help to create the same sense of leaving everything behind. White signs on the floor will be like their memories of beloved house. 02 Another element is the platform hanging from the ceiling. With every act it will go a little bit down that will give a impression of pushing the actors out of the house in the last act and create a heavy atmosphere. 03 In the corners of the theatre will be structure created from the paper hanging from the ceiling and symbolising the blooming orchard. During the intermissions audience will walk on it. At the end as cherry orchard is being cut down the stripes will also be cut off. And it will make them drop on the floor and force audience to walk on them during their leaving the theatre.
