Volunteering Opportunities for September 08 • Afternoon Show on Thursday. Commitment 2 hrs per week. • Editing Team to edit programmes (Pick of the Week, Repeats) which are re-broadcast during the week. Commitment 2 hrs per week. • Design – we have three small design projects Membership cards/posters/ certificates. • We are holding an Afternoon Dance in St Gerard’s Hall on September 28th – Grandparents Day – free admission and tea and sandwiches served. Your assistance between 2 and 5.30 would be appreciated to run this event.
2. Reminder that the AGM is on September 16 at 7pm in the AV Theatre in the Louth County Museum. There are a number of vacancies for Directors to join the Board so if you are interested, please return the Nomination Form. 3. One of the proposals going before the AGM will be to reduce the number of Broadcast Hours from 16 per day to 14 so as to improve the quality of output. What do you think? 4. The next Members Meeting will take place on Wednesday 10th September in the Community Offices at 7pm. 5. Thanks to Derek Pepper, Development Manager, Schizophrenia Ireland for his enlightening and informative series entitled ‘Talking Minds” 6. David Connor has been appointed as temporary Sales Representative. 7. The BCI now recognise Aircheck as a valid method of archiving recordings, this means that the days of recording to VHS are over. Amen. 8. Welcome to Declan Finnegan, Ollie Murtagh, Inveren Yongo, Kris Rogers, Katie McDonald, Killian Mitchell and Daria Ní Faoliáin – our newest group of trainees. 9. The upstairs canteen area is available for volunteers to prepare and discuss programming and for a cup of coffee! 10. The Elections to the Programming/Training and Finance Committees along with Volunteer Representative(s) will take place at the October Meeting – 15 October. 11.
