Attached is a summary of the achievements of the station during the first quarter of 2010 and the plans for May, June, July and August. Please have a read of the summary and send in your own plans for your programme so we can promote it in the papers. You’ll also notice volunteer opportunities for newsreaders, door-to-door survey and summer schedule distribution. Sound of the 70's - Friday 23rd April 9pm. It's a FUNdraiser so dig deep - ask your family and friends and neighbours. If you can’t attend and would like to contribute to the cost of the tickets, we'll give them to a charity to raffle for themselves. Thanks to Paddy (Number 1’s from the decade of the seventies on the breakfast show), Padraig (disco gear and posters), Michael (Music Quiz) and Kim (Promotion & Press) for organising this one and for those who have sent in their contributions. Sponsorship going well One fifth of weekly programming is now sponsored. If we have each show sponsored, the station will be near self-financing and volunteers who want to assist with sponsorship, advertising, marketing, fundraising and the membership drive should contact Padraig or myself. A commission of 20% will be paid on advertising received, however, there are strict BAI Advertising Codes that must be adhered to and prior to getting in touch with potential advertisers, you must call either Padraig Quigley or myself.

EGM Please note: only those members eligible to vote at the AGM in September 2009 are eligible to vote at the EGM according to a check with our auditor. If you are unsure if you are eligible please send me an email for confirmation. The EGM will take place in the Fairways Hotel on Thursday May 6th at 7.30pm. *** NEW*** Friends of Dundalk FM 100 – for supporters of the station. As a ‘Friend of Dundalk FM’ you receive a monthly update on station programming, station nights out and celebration events along with training events. Your name will be added to our website and we'll play a dedication on the breakfast show - It costs €10 for an individual or €20 for a family and a great opportunity to support the diverse programming at the station. Application Forms will begin to be distributed during the summer months. This is for our listeners and guests who are not involved in programming (members). The definition of a member, according to our AGM, is a volunteer who contributes at least 20 hours per annum to station. This could be in the form of fundraising, programming, promotion, training or governance. New Board Member Congratulations to Gary Conlon [First Cut Show - Fridays 6pm] who is interested in promotion, new media, youth programming, music and finance. Gary is joining the Board in May.
