2011 Junior Championship Joplin, Missouri July 19 – July 24, 2011
Opening Ceremonies/Cookout and Coaches Meeting: The opening ceremonies will be different than before. Teams will arrive at 6:30 at the Boys and Girls Club at 317 Comingo Avenue in Joplin for a meal. At 7:30 families and fans will go across to Joe Becker Field. There will be an exhibition game with Challenger players. The Challenger players and Premier tournament teams will enter the field in a “Parade of Stars” to be followed by the game After the Challenger game the coaches meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn at 3615 Rangeline Road. Final rosters MUST be turned in at the coaches meeting. Competition:
July 20 – July 24, 2011 Teams should plan on games on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00 through a Championship game on Sunday afternoon Attendance by players and coaches is mandatory at the opening ceremonies. Failure to attend may result in a $500 penalty and/or sanctions from future Premier Baseball events. The schedule will be announced at the coaches meeting which will be conducted at the Opening Event/Cookout

$5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors and students, 6 and under are free. Pass will be good at all sites for the day. Tournament passes will be available; $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for senior and students.

The five (5) days of competition will consist of: Pool play on Wednesday and Thursday Following completion of initial pool play: Teams will be re-seeded into a Championship or Consolation bracket. Teams will have the opportunity to advance to Semi-Final and Finals from the pool play. Further details to be provided NOTE: Particular circumstances may result in some deviation from the described tournament format, subject to the prior approval of the Games Committee. If any portion of the tournament is delayed or modified due to inclement weather or any other cause, all participating teams are expected to play at any time. No exceptions will be made to accommodate travel plans. In the event of inclement weather, the Tournament Director reserves the right to change the tournament format to ensure completion of the tournament.
Games: Each team will play at least six games, weather permitting. Most teams will have games through Sunday. Some teams will finish play on Saturday night. Rules:
NCAA baseball rules with the addition of Premier Baseball speed up rules. Games are 7 innings No time limit - In first round pool play if game is tied after seven innings we will play up to 2 extra innings. There will be no ties in the Championship or Consolation rounds - An eight run rule will be in effect after 5 innings. - Games will be counted as Â˝ of a win Â˝ of a loss. - Runner for the catcher is allowed but not mandatory. Teams are responsible for providing 3 game balls to the umpires at the beginning of each game. Teams will be responsible for returning foul balls or providing additional baseballs as needed.
Coaches are responsible to see that their team meets all eligibility requirements. No member of the Local Organizing Committee shall have the authority to rule on player or team eligibility. Teams/clubs or coaches who have entered the National Championship, and who do not participate, are subject to sanctions. Teams/clubs or coaches who fail to compete in all scheduled games at the National Championship are subject to sanctions, which may include suspension from current and future National Championship play.
All players must have not started their senior year of high school or not have turned 18 before May 1.
Remember that we are guests at this tournament. Our host city will hold all of us to a reasonable standard of conduct. Teams, coaches, players and/or spectators may be removed from the tournament at necessary.
